more rhodium slide
rhodium hit $23,400 (moneymetals.com), and that is roughly 12.8 times the current price of gold $1819.
the price of rhodium was below $700 as recently as 2016 (one-half the price of gold).
but rhodium has spiked wildly in the past, and it didn't have anything to do with trump, covid, election fraud, or anything relevant to this board.
in 2007-2008 rhodium spiked at $7500-7700 (12.2 times the price of gold), and back in 1990-1991 rhodium spiked at $7000 (19.4 times the price of gold).
these spikes are largely due to supply disruptions from the two principle sources, russia and s. africa. (miner strikes, trade embargos, etc).
IMO tracking the price of rhodium is not relevant to the task here, and constitutes a slide, which i hope this post will put to rest.
