There's Old Testament Judaism (the Law) and there's Talmudic Judaism.
The Law is supposed to act like a mirror, to show where you fall short. It's not supposed to save you.

You're right, it does. Salvation is realizing you're a sinner, you can't save yourself, and putting your faith on what Christ did on the cross.
Old Testament Judaism pointed the way. It's said that the OT is the NT concealed, and the NT is the OT revealed. The tabernacle was actually a picture of Christ, one preacher I know was doing a Bible study on it, pretty fascinating stuff.
What we're seeing here is during the Tribulation the Jews will accept the antichrist as Christ. Eventually they WILL acknowledge their true Messiah–but after they've been almost wiped out.
They need to ditch the Talmud and start studying the Torah.
