Praying to remain free of, or to be freed from, Communism (in all it's forms) is certainly
a worthwhile endeavor that should be encouraged at all times and in all places.
I will point out though, you lost than half your audience by using Mary as a means of doing so.
Martin Luther's thoughts about, and subsequent abandonment of Catholicism ring true with moar people than you evidently realize. Your choices, obviously remain yours; but considering others as well, will only help your cause.
I was specifically referencing praying to Mary, as what I have found in, and understand of the Bible, contradicts the entire premise of doing so.
That premise aside, I believe most true Religions are good insomuch as they lead their follower to aspire to a higher conscience and a moar universally accepted standard of conduct.
The Catholic Church, for sure has it's faults and desperately needs cleansing, but I am not aware of any practicing Religions that are without the same need(s).
