New trend: concierge medicine. Dr.'s are telling patients they no longer accept insurance plans and are going to private pay structure. So you pay for insurance that equals a mortgage payment on a nice house, then you lose the benefit of copay for a PCP visit, and must fork over hundreds of dollars per visit, or a couple thousand for the year...or...change doctors.
