AS THE WORLD TURNS

Of the major 3 networks at the time, CBS was the only one with original programming during the JFK assassination (NBC and ABC were airing local affiliate programming). As the World Turns was interrupted ten minutes in by an alert bulletin that JFK had been shot.

Makes me wonder if this is where clowns began using TV as mass mind programming.
