Joe Biden personally approved US airstrikes on Syria Thursday in response to recent Iranian-backed militia attacks on US forces in Iraq, Reuters was first to report. The Biden airstrikes reportedly targeted a facility in Syria belonging to Iranian-backed militias.

Two days after Biden took over the White House last month, U.S. troops were seen entering Syria from Iraq, signaling a reversal of President Trump’s efforts to end U.S. involvement in ‘forever wars’ in the Middle East.

Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin posted more on Twitter, “Senior US official confirms the US military carried out a single airstrike in Syria against a single location used by Iranian backed militias- multiple facilities struck tonight. Pres Biden approved the attack. Strike designed to deter rocket attacks against US forces in Iraq.”

On Tuesday Reuters reported an Iranian-backed militia in Iraq denied responsibility for a streak of three attacks on U.S. forces in recent weeks:

An Iran-aligned Iraqi militia group on Tuesday denied any role in recent rocket attacks against U.S. targets in Iraq, but said an attack against Saudi Arabia last month was justified.

It is a rare direct denial and the first time the Kataib Hezbollah group, one of the Iraqi factions closest to Iran, has commented on the most serious incident this year, a rocket attack in Erbil on Feb. 15 that killed a contractor working with U.S.-led forces.

Common sense (reality) rewards merit. It is color-and-gender-blind. But hard work and talent are now considered "white supremacist" as if Black jazz musicians don't excel at both.

They have driven hard-working people from the workforce and put millions on the dole. People are being paid NOT to work.

Just as companies don't care about profit, stocks trade at a multiple of their political correctness. It doesn't matter that they are at pie-in-the-sky valuations. Many multi billion dollar companies don't have any earnings at all.

But anything that taps into political correctness renewable energy, plant-based foods, vaccines are off the charts. Stocks trade like crypto currencies. They go up for no reason other than people will pay more. People are engaged in a speculative frenzy much like the roaring twenties, and we know how that ended.

We have detached from reality. Eventually reality will catch up to us, and it won't be pleasant.

Feds to Bus, Fly Surge of Biden’s Migrants to U.S. Homes

President Joe Biden’s deputies will bypass the media’s clickbait focus on border-backlogged “kids in cages” by simply flying and bussing more Central American migrants to homes through the United States.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) told Breitbart News that its Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) has:

…authorized programs to pay transport fees for unaccompanied children (including airline tickets), including escort transport (where necessary by airline or ORR policy) in order to facilitate release of children to approved sponsors.

ORR care providers are authorized to use program funds to purchase airline tickets in the event that a sponsor is not able to pay fees associated with commercial airfare, and a child’s physical release would be otherwise delayed.

“This isn’t about a backlog,” said Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. She continued:

This is about Biden’s policies creating a border surge … They’re getting exactly what we all knew they were going to get which is more people coming across, including more unaccompanied children. So now they’re trying to figure out what to do with them because you know AOC [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (D-NY)] and others are so unhappy with their “kids in containers” policy that they’ve got to fly them away from the border so nobody notices them.

“The administration wants open borders — they want anyone from around the world to come here as fast as they possibly can,” she said. But the resulting rush of migrants is forcing officials to hide the unpopular migration as it arrives at the border.

The surge of migrants will not be easy to hide, she added. “Former President Obama knows that because when he was flying the unaccompanied children all over the country, all hell broke loose and governors started complaining, and citizens started complaining. Video footage from a La Mesa, California school board meeting is generating outrage from parents who learned that a school board member stated a potential school reopening is “what slavery is,” and is a “very white supremacist ideology.” The board member also demanded that her colleagues check their “privilege.”

Charda Bell-Fontenot, the Vice President of the La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools board, appeared ignorant of the fact that her remarks would become public record, claiming, “If our meetings were actually recorded for the public, we would know that.”

Bell-Fontenot, who refused to show her face on-screen, stated, “So how are we forcing people, that seems like a very white supremacist ideology to force people to comply, you know, or conform, without thinking about all of their intersecting factors and barriers that exist for all families … just letting you know, you’re thinking about one type of family when you’re speaking right now. Just letting you know. Privilege. Check it, you guys.”

The board vice president added, “So I don’t wanna be a part of forcing anybody to do anything they don’t wanna do, that’s what slavery is, I’m not gonna be a part of it.”

When the superintendent asked her to stop berating other board members, Bell-Fontenot accused him of “disrespecting” her, and rebuffed a request from another colleague to continue the argument in private by shouting, “Racism doesn’t need to be private, Becky.”

The full board meeting was posted to YouTube in audio form, well as a five-minute clip of the altercation between Bell-Fontenot and her colleagues.

Tasmania Police took a decade to investigate alleged paedophile nurse who worked with children, review finds

An internal review into how Tasmania Police handled its investigation into an alleged paedophile nurse has revealed the police were told of allegations he was abusing children as early as 2009.

It took another 10 years for police to formally investigate James Geoffrey Griffin, and only after a complaint was received by an alleged victim.

Even after police received the formal complaint, it took from early May until the end of July for his workplace, the Launceston General Hospital, to be informed of the allegations.

The review revealed the agency received information about potential child abuse in relation to Mr Griffin in 2009, 2011, 2013 and 2015.

The report highlighted issues with information-sharing between agencies, such as child protection and police.

For example, the 2013 report related to allegations of "inappropriate touching and grooming behaviour" by Mr Griffin.

Police referred the matter to child protection, who spoke to Mr Griffin and the alleged victim.

Both denied the allegations, so the file was closed and police took no further action. Police did not speak to Mr Griffin nor the potential victim.

As a result of the internal review, Tasmania Police said it had now implemented a specialist investigative and policy team to improve processes and procedures related to investigations into child sex abuse.

Mr Griffin took his own life in October 2019 after being charged with multiple child sex offences.

Tasmania Police Commissioner Darren Hine apologised to Mr Griffin's alleged victims for any harm caused by the deficiencies identified in the report.

"We will learn from this, we will make changes, we will do better for victims," he said.

Commissioner Hine said he wanted to reassure victims they could safely come forward and that their "matters will be pursued".

The report identified problems in information sharing across agencies, particularly with the Department of Communities, and called for a review of investigative guidelines of child sex offences.

Commissioner Hine said a specialist investigation and policy team has been established to address the issues raised in the report.

Premier Peter Gutwein said the government would provide an addition $1.5 million in funding for a historic complaints' review process lead by a specialist team within Tasmania Police, looking particularly at police and Department of Communities files.

"My expectation is that no stone be left unturned," Mr Gutwein said.

"I want to do this job once, I want to do it right, and I want to make sure I have the strongest protections in place."

A paedophile private tutor was allowed to continue teaching due to a shocking ‘lack of regulation’ in the industry, a court has heard.

A judge said he was ‘deeply concerned’ to learn that Yi Liu had still been able to teach despite pleading guilty to groping four young students.

The 63-year-old was jailed following a Mail investigation that revealed dozens of private tutors had continued working despite previous convictions.

Unlike teachers, private tutors are not required by law to have criminal record checks to work with schoolchildren.

Campaigners have called for all those working in the profession to undergo a mandatory Enhanced DBS background check.

Southwark Crown Court heard how Liu had taught children maths for two decades despite a previous conviction dating back to 1998.

In 2018, he was arrested and charged with groping four boys between eight and 13 years old in their family homes over the previous six years.

One 11-year-old victim told his parents that the tutor had ‘put his hands down his pants’ in his bedroom during a lesson, the court heard.

Police spoke to a further three victims, who had complained of Liu’s ‘creepy’ behaviour and ’in particular how [he] would touch them around their genitals’

Oxford University COVID-19 Lab Reportedly Hacked by Cyber Gang

Researchers have been scrambling to learn more about SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. So far, the deadly virus has infected more than 113 million people worldwide and killed more than 2.5 million others.

A report by The Telegraph reveals that an Oxford University biology laboratory researching COVID-19 has been hacked by a cyber gang in mid-February due to fears that the lab was attempting to sell information about the virus to the highest bidder.

According to the outlet, the hack occurred at the University of Oxford’s Division of Structural Biology, also known as Strubi.

The Strubi lab is unrelated to the Jenner Institute, which developed a COVID-19 vaccine with pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca.

The hack is currently investigated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as it attempts to “fully understand its impact.” As of now, security sources are unclear who was responsible for the attack and could not rule out the involvement of a hostile foreign state. The NCSC also noted that the cyber attack had “no impact on any clinical research.”

The lab studies the protein structures of COVID-19. Screenshots of the hackers’ access to the lab’s computer systems showed interfaces for what appear to be potential lab equipment used to purify and prepare biochemical samples, like proteins, The Telegraph reported.

In a statement to The Telegraph, Oxford University confirmed that Strubi had been hacked.

“We have identified and contained the problem and are now investigating further. There has been no impact on any clinical research, as this is not conducted in the affected area. As is standard with such incidents, we have notified the National Cyber Security Centre and are working with them,” an unidentified spokesperson noted. “With news about cybercriminals tampering with water purity controls, other attacks against energy companies—this type of data in the hands of cybercriminals draws many concerns,” the spokesperson also noted in a statement to Forbes.

This is not the first time that hackers have been accused of targeting COVID-19 research.

In November, Microsoft accused state actors from Russia and North Korea of targeting pharmaceutical companies and researchers working on vaccines and treatments for COVID-19.

In a blog post at the time, Microsoft accused attackers of targeting “leading pharmaceutical companies and vaccine researchers” in Canada, France, India, South Korea and the United States.
