Reports: China ordered US diplomats to take anal swab COVID tests
U.S. diplomats in China say they were ordered to undergo anal swab COVID-19 testing, according to new reports this week. China allegedly told U.S. State Department officials it was done in error, but has publicly denied the allegations.
“The State Department never agreed to this kind of testing and protested directly to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when we learned that some staff were subject to it,” a State Department spokesperson told VICE World News on Wednesday.
News of American diplomats subjected to China’s anal swab testing was first reported by Washington Post last week.
China mandated anal swab testing – which they declared more accurate that nasal swab testing — for incoming travelers in some areas of the country, although they claim diplomats are exempt from the tests.
The State Department spokesperson told VICE that China insisted the anal swab tests were given to American personnel in error. The State Department told personnel to refuse any future attempted anal swab testing.
“The Department is committed to guaranteeing the safety and security of American diplomats and their families while preserving their dignity, consistent with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, as well as other relevant diplomatic law provisions,” the spokesperson said.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian denied the claims publicly, however. On Thursday, Zhao told reporters, “China has never asked U.S. diplomats in China to go through anal swab tests.”
China’s state-run Global Times announced an increased use of anal swab testing in China this year after a Chinese study determined anal swab testing was “optimal” when evaluating hospitalized patients before discharge.
“Intriguingly, SARS-CoV-2 detection was positive in the anal swab of two patients and negative in throat swab and sputum samples,” they wrote. “We propose anal swabs as the potentially optimal specimen for SARS-CoV-2 detection for evaluation of hospital discharge of covid-19 patients.”
The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention published instructions on how to conduct the test: if a stool sample cannot be provided, a cotton-tipped swab should be inserted one to two inches into the rectum.
However, some Chinese doctors called the test inconvenient and said it was mostly used in quarantined patients.
Li Tongzeng, an infectious-disease specialist at Beijing You’an Hospital, said, “Considering that collecting anal swabs are not as convenient as throat swabs, at the moment only key groups such as those in quarantine receive both.”

Ever wonder why I named my channel “LinWoodSpeaksTruth?”
Simple answer: Because I love truth.
For my entire career as a lawyer, I have pursued truth to achieve justice.
Candidly, it is difficult in these extraordinary times to find honesty in many people. We certainly have not found it in Georgia officials or in government officials throughout the nation. The November 3, 2020 election was dishonest. So very many people know it, yet too many still deny it.
Outside of America, foreign countries are certain of the U.S. election fraud. Yet, a percentage of our population deny the truth. They do so either because they do not think for themselves and have been brainwashed by the propaganda media OR they do so because the dishonest election fits their personal or political agenda. They accept the lie so they can move on with their lives or their agendas.
How does a life or an agenda based on a lie hope to find success? It cannot.
Now you know why I refuse to accept the November 3, 2020 dishonest election result. Our country cannot succeed if our leadership is based on a lie. I want our country to succeed and success can only be a achieved if we face and accept the TRUTH. Trump won. Bigly. We need to face it, embrace it, and live it.

When I surrendered my life to God 2 1/2 years ago, I did so after I seriously posed to myself for the first time this question, “Is God real?”
I reflected on my life and life on Earth in general and concluded that the only thing that made perfect sense to explain everything from start to finish was the conclusion that God is real. A conclusion that turned seeming chaos into a plan. A perfect plan.
God is TRUTH. God is RIGHTEOUS. God is LOVE.
So the longer answer to why I named my channel, “LinWoodSpeaksTruth” is that I love to pursue truth because I love justice and justice is found in trying your best to honestly reach the right result.
I am still learning. I have much more to learn. Don’t we ALL?

Biden Administration put Hundreds of children in harms way border patrol custody after crossing US-Mexico border

Hundreds of children who crossed the United States-Mexico border unaccompanied are now in border patrol custody as immigrants continue to "flood over the border," according to Daily Telegraph columnist Miranda Devine.
She said these sorts of migration episodes were going on during the Obama administration.
“Of course the so-called cages that were built for children were built under President Obama, which Democrats never mentioned when they criticised the Trump administration,” she said.
“Donald Trump had managed to bring that border crossing problem to a trickle”.
Ms Devine pointed to a mass exodus from Honduras toward the United States.
“Because of course that border wall was never finished and Joe Biden’s now ceased any work on it and there are lots of unaccompanied children … they have to be in custody,” she said.
“But I mean what else are they going to do? These are children with no parents visibly around … and so they need to be housed and fed and safely cared for.”
