Saudi-Led Coalition Says Destroyed Houthi Ballistic Missile Launched Against Kingdom

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said on Friday that it had destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi movement toward the Saudi kingdom, Saudi state TV reported.

According to the spokesman for the coalition forces Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, cited by kingdom’s state-run SPA media outlet, the ballistic missile, launched by the “Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist organization” from Saada, was intercepted and destroyed.

The attack was reportedly aimed at civilian areas and objects in the southern region of the kingdom.

Houthis has repeatedly attacked civil infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. Earlier Reuters reported last Thursday that the Saudi coalition has doubled the protection of Yemen’s city of Marib by mobilizing army units from other parts of the country regarding recent reports about hundreds of militants from eastern Yemen’s Hadramaut and Shabwa Governorates are nearing the town.

Yemen has been torn by the civil since 2014 when the Houthi movement, which opposes the formal government in exile of president Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, seized the capital Sanaa, the capital, and the biggest part of the country’s north. The war took a new turn in March 2015 when the Saudi Arabia formed a coalition to support Hadi’s government.

Judge Rules Maricopa County Must Provide 2.1 Million Ballots From 2020 to Arizona Senate for Audit

A Maricopa County judge has ruled that the Arizona Senate subpoenas demanding the 2020 election ballots and voting machines for audit are valid.

In the ruling, the judge wrote that “the court finds that the subpoenas are legal and enforceable.”

“There is no question that the Senators have the power to issue legislative subpoenas. The subpoenas comply with the statutory requirements for legislative subpoenas The Senate also has broad constitutional power to oversee elections,” the ruling continued. “The Arizona legislature clearly has the power to investigate and examine election reform matters. Accordingly, the Senators have the power to subpoena material as part of an inquiry into election reform measures. As such, the Subpoenas have a proper legislative purpose. The Subpoenas also do not violate separation of powers principles.”

The judge added that “production of the subpoenaed materials would not violate confidentiality laws.”

In response to the judge’s ruling, the state’s Senate Republicans issued a statement saying “we are grateful for the Superior Court judge’s ruling this morning that the Senate subpoenas are legal and enforceable, and it is entitled to audit voting equipment and ballots used in the November election.”

Republican Arkansas Senator Blames Trump For ‘One Of The Darkest Days In Our Nation’s History’

Republican John Boozman repeated left-wing media talking points about President Trump in a statement posted to Facebook

Sen. John (((Boozman))) (R-AR) claimed January 6 was “one of the darkest days in our democracy,” and pontificated that pro-Trump protests were an “attack on the U.S. Capitol by a violent mob” and a “threat to our democracy” in a statement that blamed President Donald Trump for the day’s events.

In a statement posted to Facebook that attempted to make Democrats understand why he voted to “acquit” President Trump in a failed impeachment trial that took place after the former president took office, Boozman repeated left-wing media talking points about January 6.

“January 6, 2021 will forever be remembered as one of the darkest days in our nation’s history,” Boozman wrote. “The attack on the U.S. Capitol by a violent mob was a threat to our democracy. Courageous law enforcement officers defended lives and safeguarded the constitutional duty of Congress to certify the presidential election.”

Boozman’s statement continued, “While former President Donald Trump bears some responsibility for what happened that day, the perpetrators who planned, coordinated and assaulted the Capitol building must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law and brought to justice.”

SEC Suspends Trading In 15 Companies Due To "Questionable Trading And Social Media Activity"

Two weeks ago we said that the regulatory crackdown against WallStreetBets had begun when the SEC suspended trading in pennystock Spectra Science (SCIE). Well, today we got the clearest confirmation yet that the SEC will do everything in its power to make sure that are no more Melvin Capitals and will seek to put a resolute end to the reddit bull raids when it announced that it "suspended trading in the securities of 15 companies because of questionable trading and social media activity."

Today's order states that trading is being suspended because of "questions about recent increased activity and volatility in the trading of these issuers, as well as the influence of certain social media accounts on that trading activity." In enforcing the suspension, the SEC referred to federal securities laws, according to which "the SEC can suspend trading in a stock for 10 days and generally prohibit a broker-dealer from soliciting investors to buy or sell the stock again until certain reporting requirements are met."

The order also states that none of the issuers has filed any information with the SEC or OTC Markets, where the companies' securities are quoted, for over a year. As a result, the SEC suspended trading in the securities of:

Bebida Beverage Co. (BBDA); Blue Sphere Corporation (BLSP); Ehouse Global Inc. (EHOS); Eventure Interactive Inc. (EVTI); Eyes on the Go Inc. (AXCG); Green Energy Enterprises Inc. (GYOG); Helix Wind Corp. (HLXW); International Power Group Ltd. (IPWG); Marani Brands Inc. (MRIB); MediaTechnics Corp. (MEDT); Net Talk.com Inc. (NTLK); Patten Energy Solutions Group Inc. (PTTN); PTA Holdings Inc. (PTAH); Universal Apparel & Textile Company (DKGR); and Wisdom Homes of America Inc. (WOFA).

The SEC also recently issued orders temporarily suspending trading in:

Bangi Inc. (BNGI); Sylios Corp. (UNGS); Marathon Group Corp. (PDPR); Affinity Beverage Group Inc. (ABVG); All Grade Mining Inc. (HYII); and SpectraScience Inc. (SCIE).

Each of these orders stated that "the suspensions were due at least in part to questions about whether social media accounts have been attempting to artificially increase the companies' share price."

According to the SEC, "today's action follows the recent suspensions of the securities of numerous other issuers, many of which may also have been targets of apparent social media attempts to artificially inflate their stock price. The SEC continues to review market and trading data to identify other securities where the public interest and the protection of investors require trading suspensions.

While none of this is a surprise, we will recycle our conclusion from two weeks ago when we said that "while the SEC is now scrambling to put the genie in the bottle, the reality is that in a world where infinite Fed liquidity has terminally broken any link between stock prices and underlying facts, news or cash flows, such ramps are going to become an increasingly more frequent occurrence. And sadly since no regulator can admit that we now live in the biggest asset bubble ever, they will continue going after the symptoms - speculative daytraders organizing bull raids which by the way have been around ever since the South Sea Bubble - instead of actually focusing on the underlying cause."

Gretchen Whitmer Loads ‘Council on Climate Solutions’ with Donors, Utility Lobbyist, Dark Money Group Exec

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) has packed her “Council on Climate Solutions” with campaign donors and a major utility lobbyist and dark money group executive that boosted her 2018 campaign, a review of campaign finance records revealed.

Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-182 last September to create the board, which advises the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.

“The science is clear, and message urgent: the earth’s climate is now changing faster than at any point in the history of modern civilization, and human activities are largely responsible for this change,” the order said.

Members of the advisory board are tasked with creating the “MI Healthy Climate Plan,” which is to “serve as the action plan for this state to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition toward economywide carbon neutrality.”

A review of appointed members and campaign finance records found 10 of the 21 members donated to Whitmer’s gubernatorial campaign:

Kerry Duggan, founder and principal of SustainabiliD: $500

James C. Harrison, director of renewable energy for Utility Workers Union of America, AFL-CIO: $100

Phyllis D. Meadows, senior fellow in health programming for The Kresge Foundation: $225

Jonathan T. Overpeck, University of Michigan environmental professor: $155.98

Phillip D. Roos, CEO of Great Lakes GrowthWorks, LLC: $2,300

Justin Onwenu, organizer for Sierra Club: $31.15

Charlotte Jameson, program director for Michigan Environmental Council: $50

Douglas Jester, partner with 5 Lakes Energy: $10,500

Charles J. Griffith, director of climate and energy program for the Ecology Center: $25

Brandon Hofmeister, senior vice president of governmental, regulatory, and public affairs for Consumers Energy: $6,500

Hofmeister is a lobbyist for Consumers Energy, a leading energy company in the state, and vice president of a so-called dark money group known as Citizens for Energizing Michigan’s Economy (CEME).

Over a four-year period beginning in 2014, Consumers Energy gave CEME $43.5 million to boost candidates favorable to the utility, according to a 2018 report from the Energy and Policy Institute.

CEME’s IRS filing showed it then gave $300,000 to Progressive Advocacy Trust, an organization that spent $2 million to help elect Whitmer.

Mlive reported Consumers Energy’s parent company, CMS, had a net income of $680 million in 2019.

In December, the Whitmer-appointed Michigan Public Service Commission approved a requested rate hike by Consumers Energy. Customers will now pay nearly 12 percent more per month, according to the Detroit News.

As of the last campaign finance filing, other board members listed by Fox 17, including W. Frank Beaver, Mary F. Draves, Marnese K. Jackson, Tanya Paslawski, Cynthia Render-Williams, Derrell E. Slaughter, Samuel Stolper, Ronald Voglewede, Cory Connolly, Steven Holty, and Lauren T. Cooper have not financially supported the governor’s campaign.

Among other things, board members are charged with, “Identifying and recommending opportunities for the development and effective implementation of emissions-reduction strategies.”

While some boards have a defined time limit on their existence, there is no sunset on the Council on Climate Solutions.

Armenian Sources Share Another Video Allegedly Showing Iskander Launches During Recent Karabakh War

Pro-Armenian Telegram channels shared another video allegedly showing the usage of Iskander missiles during the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020.

Earlier, claims by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claimed that Iskander missiles worked on ‘10%’ only blaming the military failure in the Karabakh conflict on them. This statement triggered a strong criticism from the Armenian General Staff, which even called on Pashinyan to resign. The entire situation caused a new loop of political crisis in Armenia.

In its own statements on the situation, the Russian Defense Ministry and the Azerbaijani Presidency said that they have not observed the usage of Iskander missiles by Armenia during the conflict. MORE ABOUT THE ONGOING CRISIS HERE
