One outspoken critic of the growing critical race theory movement is offering to publicly debate a leftist professor who espouses the radical philosophy.

Christopher Rufo, director of the Center on Wealth and Poverty at the Discovery Institute, tweeted Friday he’d go head-to-head with “any prominent critical race theorist” on the floor of The New York Times, which published an article in which the writer suggested Rufo’s fearful of debating CRT.

Oklahoma House votes to enable legislature to block Biden’s executive orders

https://www.theblaze.com/op-ed/horowitz-oklahoma-house-votes-to-enable-legislature-to-block-bidens-executive-orders

On Thursday, the Oklahoma House overwhelmingly passed a bill, HB 1236, that would grant the state's attorney general and state legislature the authority to review the president's executive orders to determine constitutionality. Specifically, the bill would authorize the legislature to recommend that the attorney general review any executive order, federal agency rule, or federal congressional action to determine whether the state should seek an exemption or declare it unconstitutional. If either the attorney general or the legislature, by concurrent resolution, declares the act unconstitutional, then all state and local officials and any publicly funded organization are prohibited from enforcing it.

In strike against federal overreach, judge declares pandemic eviction moratorium unconstitutional

https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/texas-public-policy-foundation-says-challenged-eviction-moratorium-declared

A federal judge has declared the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention temporary eviction moratorium unconstitutional, according to the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

The moratorium prohibits property owners from ousting tenants meeting certain criteria who are unable to pay their rent.

"Today, the court held that the federal government cannot interfere with private property rights or citizen's access to the courts to exercise their rights under state law," Texas Public Policy Foundation's General Counsel Robert Henneke said in a statement. "The CDC attempted to use COVID-19 as an opportunity to grab power, and the court rightfully corrected this egregious overreach."

Once-secret FBI informant reports reveal wider-ranging operation to spy on Trump campaign

https://justthenews.com/accountability/russia-and-ukraine-scandals/once-secret-fbi-informant-reports-reveal-wide-ranging

Among the revelations, the memos make clear that:

Almost immediately after the FBI opened a Russia collusion probe on July 31, 2016 narrowly focused on the foreign lobbying of a single Trump campaign aide named George Papadopoulos, agents pressed Halper for information on more than a half dozen other figures, including future Attorney General Jeff Sessions, foreign policy adviser Sam Clovis, campaign chairman Paul Manafort, economic adviser Peter Navarro, future National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and campaign adviser Carter Page.

Halper provided significant exculpatory evidence to the FBI — including transcripts of conversations he recorded of targeted Trump advisers providing statements of innocence — that was never disclosed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that approved a year of surveillance targeting the Trump campaign, and specifically Page.

While current FBI Director Chris Wray has insisted the bureau did not engage in spying on the Trump campaign, Halper's taskings include many of the tradecraft tactics of espionage, including the creation of a fake cover story (he wanted a job at the Trump campaign), secret recordings, providing background on targets, suggested questions to ask and even contact information for potential targets.

Gee, it's almost as if we had a crystal ball THREE YEARS AGO!

The House passes the monstrous Equality Act and three Republicans voted with them

https://therightscoop.com/the-house-passes-the-monstrous-equality-act-and-three-republicans-voted-with-them/

The three Republicans were Rep. Tom Reed from Illinois, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick from Pennsylvania, and Rep. John Katko from New York.

The good news is that this bill is likely going to die in the Senate because it would need 10 Republicans to get past the filibuster. Let’s hope there aren’t any who would support this. I know Susan Collins has already refused, so that’s a good sign.

Here’s more about the dangers of the Equality Act from The Federalist:
