Consider the possibility that the foundations of your castle are flawed. I mean, a fortress whose defenses depend entirely on deceiving everyone else surely raises the risk that those who think they're safe within its walls are deceived too. Why should the deception end just before it reaches you? Who might benefit to see you conned too? Ancient secrets indeed. Measurable results, sure. But even now you have to admit, not infallible. What cost might there be to you if your view is wrong? What cost is there to so many millions of others?
