Outside of this place, the world can appear so seductively ordinary. A beguiling, amnesia-inducing landscape of the everyday. Of course, signs in the illusory material world are everywhere. Sometimes they even loom large like a slap in the face with God's open palm, but it's still so easy to walk past the subtler hints everywhere, lulling us into a drowsy confusion and complacency. Pray to God to keep our eyes renewed, along with our hearts, clear and sharp.
