New Evidence Shows U.S. Government and the American Scientific Establishment Involved in Cover Up of COVID-19’s Origin

International financial interests and the global scientific establishment have never wanted the true source of the COVID-19 virus to be revealed, despite the fact that its laboratory origin was suspected early after the onset of the pandemic.

There is now evidence that elements within the U.S. government coordinated with selected members of the U.S. scientific community, no doubt with the blessing of international business and the media, to protect China from responsibility and, in doing so, protected their own interests.

By January 13, 2020, there were already comments on the internet that the COVID-19 virus was manufactured in a laboratory in China and that U.S. scientists may have helped Chinese scientists obtain the knowledge to do so, specifically in the laboratory of Dr. Zheng-Li Shi at the Wuhan Institute of Virology with the assistance of Dr. Ralph Baric at the University of North Carolina.

On January 26, 2020, respected investigative reporter and defense expert, Bill Gertz, in his Washington Times article wrote:

“The deadly animal-borne coronavirus spreading globally may have originated in a laboratory in the city of Wuhan linked to China’s covert biological weapons program.”

On February 3, 2020, Kelvin Droegemeier, a product of the Republican establishment and then Director of the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), wrote a letter to Dr. Marcia McNutt, president of the National Academy of Sciences, asking:

“the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) to rapidly examine information and identify data requirements that would help determine the origins of 2019-nCoV, specifically from an evolutionary/structural biology standpoint.”

Oddly, his concern was precipitated by an obscure, non-peer-reviewed and already retracted Indian study “Uncanny similarity of unique inserts in the 2019-nCoV spike protein to HIV-1 gp120 and Hag.”

In retrospect, that article appears to have been a scientific strawman, suggesting that other government motives were involved, but what they were remains unclear.

Nevertheless, based on the scientists enlisted to formulate a response to OSTP’s request, the outcome of Droegemeier’s inquiry was preordained, that is, the complete absolution of China’s responsibility.

Biden Allows “60 Minutes” to Release Military Imagery Secrets that Saved US Lives

The Biden administration gave CBS access to our military personnel and a critical command center. The 60 Minutes segment airing Sunday night released secret defense strategies that helped save the lives of our troops under President Trump in 2020. This secret is now in the wind making it nearly impossible to be useful again.

In early January of 2020, Iran was readying missiles and targeting a U.S air base in Iraq. This was Iran’s response to the killing of terrorist Qasem Soleimani six days earlier. However, the U.S. military was monitoring Iran’s purchase of commercially available satellite images. Shortly after Iran’s last image upload for the day, Marine General Frank McKenzie ordered the evacuation of troops from the Al-Assad air base. Helicopters, drones, other aircraft and assets were also moved. Iran was not aware they were targeting what had become essentially an empty base.

David Martin (60 Minutes): The Iranians monitored Al Asad by purchasing photos taken by commercial satellites. Gen. McKenzie waited until after Iran had downloaded its last picture for the day. So the last time the Iranians took a look with their commercially acquired spy photos, what would they have seen?

Gen. Frank McKenzie: They would have seen airplanes on the ground and people working…expected to destroy a number of U.S. aircraft and to kill a number of U.S. service members.

The intelligence from image purchases gave our military a few hours to evacuate the 1,500 U.S. and 70 Norwegian troops. Most were either flown out of the base or sheltering in bunkers by 11:00PM the night of January 7th, 2020. The volley of missiles began just after 1:30AM. No one was killed by the attack. Like most stories from 60 Minutes their tone attacks President Trump. In this example they quote a soldier who said “we got lucky”. The Trump administration kept our military movements and strategies secret, including this one.

However, the Biden administration seems willing to show the hand of our military, just like Obama. Among other things, General McKenzie volunteers info about image purchases to 60 Minutes. His info certainly had to be cleared for release. Detailed video is shown inside of the Central Command of U.S. forces for the Middle East. For no apparent reason, CBS discloses the location is in Tampa. The numerous interviews with military personnel describing our actions that day will also be useful to U.S. adversaries.

White House refuses to release ‘virtual visit’ logs, claims they are like phone records, as watchdogs urge transparency from Biden

The Biden administration has refused to release details of “virtual” White House visitor logs despite fresh calls for transparency from watchdogs and repeated promises of accountability.

Biden’s virtual visits “will not be subject to release,” an unnamed White House official told Politico on Monday. The official compared the decision to hold back the information to how “previous administrations didn’t release phone logs,” despite the fact that virtual visits have become the primary form of meetings amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

“But we’re planning on regularly releasing the attendee lists for in-person meetings at the White House,” the official added.

The refusal to release virtual meeting logs is seemingly at odds with the Biden administration’s commitment to transparency, which it has repeatedly promised.

Biden spokesman Mike Gwin said in a statement to Politico that the president “committed during the campaign to restoring ethics and transparency to government, and in his first weeks in office he’s taken significant steps to deliver on that.”

Examples Gwin gave included Biden “putting in place sweeping ethics guidelines for the administration,” pledging “to regularly release visitor logs again,” – a policy which the Trump administration had stopped – and “reinstating the daily press briefing,” where journalists will reportedly soon be charged $170 for Covid-19 tests if they want a seat.

In addition to the lack of virtual meeting logs, the president and vice president’s schedules are not being published online, which has been the norm under most previous administrations, Politico reported. The citizen petitions service – launched during former president Barack Obama’s administration and continued under President Trump – has also been taken down from the Biden White House website.

In January, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Biden’s administration wanted to bring “truth and transparency back to the briefing room,” and that “rebuilding trust with the American people will be central to our focus in the press office and in the White House every single day.”

Last week, Psaki again hailed a policy of White House transparency, telling reporters that Biden made it “clear on the campaign trail that the American people expect and deserve transparency from their president.”

Good governance watchdogs have not been as positive about the Biden administration’s commitment to transparency as Psaki, however. Digital Democracy Project director Alex Howard told Politico that the steps taken are “welcome, but insufficient to the moment and the need,” while Americans for Prosperity Foundation counsel Ryan Mulvey called Biden’s transparency measures so far “disappointing.”

Last month, the leaders of 43 good governance organizations also wrote a letter to Biden calling on him to “embrace open government” as one of his “administration’s most important priorities.”

Goldman Exodus Accelerates: Head Of Asset-Management Suddenly Quits, Going To Tiger Global

What is going on at Goldman?

Whereas previously bankers would give at least one kidney to work at what until recently was the most admired investment bank on Wall Street, lately the flow of talent has completely reversed and one day after Bloomberg reported that none other than boring, old Walmart had poached Goldman's two top bankers in charge of its consumer banking division to join the retailer's fintech startup, Eric Lane, the co-head of Goldman’s $8 billion asset-management business, is making a sudden exit from the firm.

Even more striking: Lane is leaving the bank less than six months after taking over the firm’s newly expanded asset-management business along with Julian Salisbury, according to an internal memo seen by Bloomberg. The 25-year veteran of Goldman Sachs and a member of its most important decision-making body is expected to take a role at another investment firm, with a subsequent report from Goldman adivisng that Lane is heading to one of 2020's superstar funds, Chase Coleman's Tiger Global as the hedge fund's COO and President.

Just like Marcus - which has been hammered with departures in recent months (in the clearest sign yet that higher rates are just a mirage) - the asset-management division is a critical focus of CEO DJ D-Sol, who hopes to rake in more client assets to generate a steady stream of fee income for the bank. That, along with the consumer business, are two new strategic projects that the bank has hoped will grow fast enough for it to reduce its reliance on its traditional strengths in investment banking and trading.

And now, in an unexpected reversal, it is Goldman's two biggest bets on the future that are suddenly hemmorhaging top talent. One wonders if there is much more turbulence below the Goldman surface than the bank's impressive recent earnings would suggest.
