Biden has simultaneously refused to meet with world leaders during his first days in office

White House press secretary Jen Psaki confirmed Monday that unlike his predecessors, President Joe Biden will not be holding a live press conference in the near future, despite having been in office for over a month at this point.

When asked if Biden had scheduled his first press conference yet, Psaki replied, “Not yet, but we will definitely have one, we will schedule it, and you will be the first to know, because you’re pivotal participants in that.”

Biden has still refused to hold a White House press conference despite being in office for over a month, preferring to let Psaki and Vice President Kamala Harris handle his media obligations as concern mounts over his mental state.

Psaki stated in February that Biden will also refrain from meeting with world leaders over the next few months, as Vice President Harris will be performing a majority of the administration’s international meetings over the phone.

This news comes after the revelation that Vice President Kamala Harris has assumed one of the traditional roles of the presidency, and has begun taking Head of State calls with foreign leaders on behalf of the President.

“It will be a couple of months before the President has an in-person or invites a foreign leader to meet in person here at the White House,” said Psaki during a White House press conference.

During a recent town hall on CNN with pre-screened questions, Biden said, “Everybody knows I like kids better than people.”

Ron DeSantis Unveils Sweeping Statewide Effort to Address Chinese, Foreign Influence

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) on Monday unveiled a sweeping effort to address Chinese influence in the state, calling the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) attempts to influence domestic and international affairs “one of the most pervasive threats to American Security and property.”

“For the last decade, the Communist Party of China has been meticulous and deliberate in their infiltration across the globe,” DeSantis said, explaining the CCP’s long-term goals and interests “are antithetical to the basic tenets of the American Republic.”

The CCP, DeSantis said, has made a mission of their global expansion of power to steal intellectual property from businesses, government, and academic institutions “all to further fuel their global objectives.” He then stressed the importance of providing strategic safeguards addressing concerns of the CCP, and other foreign powers, influencing the government, as well as academia and the economy.

That starts with what DeSantis described as one of the CCP’s “primary targets”: The education system. He briefly touched on the Chinese theft of American research, adding that the U.S. must “eliminate any tolerance of clandestine foreign influence in our schools.”

State agencies, state universities, public schools, and local governments must “never use tax dollars to establish language and culture programs with foreign governments that place the interest of those governments ahead of our own interests,” DeSantis said, mentioning CCP-funded Confucius institutes, specifically.

“With our proposal today, we will ensure that no such organization is able to gain a foothold in a Florida institution of higher education,” DeSantis said.

The proposal will require public institutions of higher education to report any gift of $50,000 more from a foreign government or a foreign person. It will also require “strict vetting” and review processes of foreign applications for important research positions.

Institutions that choose to conceal information, DeSantis warned, will pay 105 percent of the amount and give it to the state of Florida. The attorney general will take action against non-compliant institutions.

It will also require state agencies to report any gift over $50,000 and require anyone seeking a grant or contract from the state for more than $100,000 to disclose any “contact with, donation from, or grant received” from seven countries of concern. Those include China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Venezuela.

“The private entities seeking public grants or contacts in excess of $100,000 will also be required to report any contact with, donation from, or grant received from persons or entities substantially influenced by such government, having a value in excess of $50,000 from the previous five years,” DeSantis said.

Mike Pompeo: ‘Many’ in Saudi Arabia Seek Normalization with Israel

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said “many” people in Saudi Arabia want to normalize relations with Israel, and expressed his hope the Gulf kingdom will join the Trump-brokered Abraham Accords between Israel and Arab nations.

“I hope that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can find its way to join the Abraham Accords. I know that many inside that country want that to take place,” Pompeo said in a recorded message to the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM).

CAM will present the former top diplomat with its first ever Global Leadership Award in recognition of his efforts in the peace deals.

“Predicting the future has proven a struggle for me,” Pompeo said, according to remarks carried by AFP.

He added that he believes “many more” countries will seek to normalize ties with Israel in the future.

There has been wide speculation and expectations among some of Israel’s highest echelons that there will be normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia within the near future. There has also been speculation Saudi Arabia has been pressuring countries to recognize Israel in unison with Washington, before doing so themselves.

Pompeo joined Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) in a secret meeting in November in Neom, Saudi Arabia, Israeli sources said at the time.

DHS Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas: There Is No Crisis on the Border

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas declared Monday there is no crisis on the southern border, despite a growing number of migrants and unattended minors crossing into the United States.

“I think the answer is no,” Mayorkas said when asked by a reporter if there was a crisis on the border. “I think there is a challenge at the border that we are managing, and we have our resources dedicated to managing it.”

Mayorkas appeared at the White House press briefing on Monday with press secretary Jen Psaki to address the growing number of questions about Biden’s handling of the border.

In January 2021, Border Patrol agents apprehended 5,871 unaccompanied minors — up from 4,995 in December 2020.

One reporter noted 200 migrant children cross the border every single day, as border officials estimate a peak of 13,000 children in the month of May.

When confronted with the numbers, Mayorkas acknowledged there was an “acute” challenge on the border, but that Homeland Security was working to fix it.

“It is a stressful challenge, and that is why quite frankly, we are working as hard as we are,” he said.

He added the department would also work to “meet our humanitarian aspirations” while handling illegal immigrants and migrants claiming asylum, as Biden promised during the campaign.

“We are not saying don’t come,” he said. “We are saying don’t come now because we will be able to deliver a safe and orderly process to them as quickly as possible.”

Mayorkas blamed the Trump administration for the current crisis, telling reporters he was shocked at what he discovered after becoming the secretary.

“Quite frankly, the entire system was gutted,” he said.

He urged immigration activists to be patient as he addressed the current challenges.

“It takes time to build out of the depths of cruelty that the administration before us established,” he said.

Biden State Dept Lead Says She SUPPORTS Chinese Propaganda In US Schools.

President Biden’s pick for Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs defended Chinese Communist Party-funded Confucius Institutes.

Confucius Institutes, which are hosted at American universities, have been described by Chinese government officials as “an important part of China’s overseas propaganda set-up.”

Notoriously rife with propaganda, intellectual property theft, and espionage per the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Justice (DOJ), Confucius Institutes count support from Victoria Nuland.

Nuland, an Obama administration State Department alum nominated to join the Biden White House, outlined her support for the effort at a 2012 press conference.

A reporter inquired with Nuland if the Obama administration was concerned about “the Confucius Institute’s expansion in the U.S. as the strongest Chinese soft power?”

“No,” Nuland responded. “This [Confucius Institute] is something that we support. It’s part of the people-to-people understanding.”

Nuland is also a Senior Counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group, a consulting firm that works extensively with China and employs Chinese Communist Party officials.

Whistleblowers Report Death Threats over DRC Bank Fraud Revelation

Two former employees of a bank based in the Democratic Republic of Congo could face a death sentence after blowing the whistle on the financial institution’s alleged secret networks engaged in money laundering and bypassing international sanctions.

Navy Malela and Gradi Koko came out on Friday to publicly denounce Cameroon-based Afriland First Bank. The two worked for years in the audit department of the bank’s Congolese subsidiary and first revealed their findings internally an then leaked information to NGOs and media outlets.

The Platform to Protect Whistleblowers in Africa (PPLAAF), an NGO that provides legal assistance and secure communication channels to whistleblowers, warned that Afriland’s lawyers said the former workers had been sentenced to death by a court in Kinshasa last September. Both Malela and Koko are exiled in Europe.

Neither PPLAAF nor journalists have been able to trace the judgement the lawyers referred to in a press conference held in Kinshasa on Thursday. However, the organization said that if the sentence is real, then it would represent a violation to Malela and Koko’s fundamental rights.

The bank’s lawyers also accused the whistleblowers of re-launching a defamatory press campaign alongside PPLAAF and US-based NGO Global Witness, which published a report based on the employers’ revelations in July last year.

"It would be incredible if whistleblowers are being sentenced to death without having the opportunity to defend themselves, while those who enable the Congolese people's money to disappear are not being prosecuted," Navy Malela said in a statement.

Last year, both whistleblowers revealed that Israeli mining billionaire Dan Gertler allegedly crafted a money laundering web to circumvent U.S. sanctions and acquire mining assets in the DRC.

According to Afriland’s former employees, the bank allowed Gertler’s associates to convert millions of dollars in cash into euros and later deposit the money into accounts of individuals or shell companies connected to the Israeli mogul. One of these companies reportedly received loans of tens of millions of euros from the DRC-based subsidiary.

The revelations also showed that high-ranking Congolese politicians and political institutions reportedly had accounts at Afriland, and some of them made transactions of up to several million dollars in cash.

The statement distributed by PPLAAF reports that millions of dollars were withdrawn from the Congolese Senate account in 2018 and 2019 during the country’s electoral process.

"We call on the Congolese authorities to launch investigations into these acts and on President Tshisekedi to promote mechanisms to protect whistleblowers, as he recently announced,” PPLAAF spokesperson Gabriel Bourdon-Fattal said.

In the aftermath of Haiti’s catastrophic 2010 earthquake, the US helped the right-wing Tet Kale Party take and retain power, including backing the controversial delays in the 2015 election at the heart of the present crisis.

Huge protests swept across Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince over the weekend, as well as a number of other provincial towns, as Haitians took to the streets by the tens of thousands to demand President Jovenel Moïse step down.

They carried signs and sung songs and chants demanding an end to his power grab last month, as well as to the violence of gangs allied with his government, which have terrorized communities with kidnappings and killings.

The protesters hold that Moïse’s last day in office should have been February 7. However, he claims that a year’s delay in him taking office means he now gets an extra year as head of state. Those who oppose his claims have been subjected to increasing violence and repression.

People were particularly enraged by the killing of 63-year-old pediatrician Ernst Pady, who was shot by gangsters during an attempted abduction on Sunday morning.

"We have a president that we no longer recognise because his term is over,” protester Moise Gueslin told Agence France-Presse. “Look at how a doctor was killed: is it possible to live in a country like this?"

Meanwhile, others demanded an “economic revolution” undoing the carefully manicured dependency of Haiti on the United States, including one person who came astride a mule and dressed up as Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the former slave-turned-general who led the successful slave revolution in 1804 that ousted the French colonists and established Haiti as the first Black republic in the western hemisphere. Dessalines’ name has been constantly invoked amid the demonstrations against Moïse, who is seen as symbolizing the ostracism and victimization imposed on Haiti by colonial powers ever since its independence.

Jerry Nadler Unmasks the True Nature of the 'Equality Act'

Last Thursday, as the House of Representatives debated H.R. 5, the Orwellian “Equality Act,” a seemingly exasperated Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) arguably revealed the true nature of his party’s radical legislation. In response to Rep. Greg Steube’s (R-Fla.) speech quoting the Bible, Nadler declared that “what any religious tradition describes as God’s will is no concern of this Congress.”

The Equality Act would enshrine the concept of “gender identity” into federal civil rights law, mandating that Americans kowtow to biologically false transgender identities. Steube quoted the Bible to express the fact that millions of Americans object to transgender identity on religious grounds and to warn that the Equality Act constitutes rebellion against God.

“A woman must not wear men’s clothing nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this,” Steube said, quoting Deuteronomy 22:5. Christians do not believe this section of the Torah, the Old Covenant law, is binding on Christians today, but we do hold that this law expresses God’s truth and directs human beings toward the higher law of Jesus in the New Testament.

“It’s not clothing or personal style that offends God, but rather the use of one’s appearance to act out or take on a sexual identity different from the one biologically assigned by God at birth,” Steube said (he should have said “assigned at conception”).

The congressman warned that “the gender confusion that exists in our culture today is a clear rejection of God’s good design” and that “whenever a nation’s laws no longer reflect the standards of God, that nation is in rebellion against him and will inevitably bear the consequences.”

Nadler could not let that stand.

“Mr. Steube, what any religious tradition describes as God’s will is no concern of this Congress,” the Democrat argued.

In comments to EWTN, Steube responded by noting that the House of Representatives itself has “In God We Trust” behind the Speaker’s rostrum.

“To say that religion has no place in this Congress when our country was founded on Judeo-Christianity, I certainly disagree with that,” Steube said. He insisted that Judeo-Christian beliefs do belong in Congress. Nadler did not respond to EWTN’s request for comment.

The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), a coalition of more than 1,500 traditional Orthodox Jewish rabbis, harshly condemned Nadler’s comment.

“Mr. Nadler has forgotten the Constitution,” CJV President Rabbi Pesach Lerner said in a scathing statement. “The Founding Fathers required Congress to avoid infringing upon the free exercise of religion, meaning it must be sensitive to what every religious tradition describes as G-d’s will. It is especially true that Congress must remain cognizant of the set of foundational moral principles – including valuing peace, human life, and individual liberty and responsibility – that America calls Judeo-Christian ethics.”
