An 83-year-old man drowned in a pond at a Florida golf course on Saturday morning, a report said (Saturday, Feb. 13th)
Thesenior citizen was trying to retrieve a hat from a pondat Wycliffe Golf & Country Club in Wellington when he went under, the Palm Beach Post reported, citing authorities.
A nearby golfer tried to rescue the man, but could not find him, the report said.
The man was later found by first responders submerged about 15 feet from land.
He had been golfing with three other people at the time of the tragedy, the report said.
