After calling it "Domestic Terrorism," FBI Director Wray said the January 5 FBI Norfolk warning of violence at the Capitol was widely shared. Wray said FBI Norfolk pushed out raw, unverified intelligence called a "Situational Information Report" on the evening of Jan 5 + the SIR was sent via email to the JTTF, Joint Terrorism Task Force (which Wray said included Capitol, DC police), verbally provided through a command post briefing (Wray said also included Capitol, DC Police) + posted to a national law enforcement portal. This SIR was
pulled from a web posting, saying go to the Capitol and be "ready for war." Wray was pressed on why FBI has not provided Jan 5 Norfolk memo to lawmakers, he said it was "law enforcement sensitive" (1 of the lowest classification levels) + part ongoing investigation
