All that did was "force determination"…..which can be argued as a "interest holding" tactic. Posting without opposition and something to push back against, or a "visible enemy" may cause people to drift away from the movement.

 

Having "oppositional" posters can actually HELP a movement stay on target. IE…."OK they're here trying to stop us so we must be doing something they hate" which hardens determination to continue. You don't want to make it TOO easy.

 

However Fungus overplayed it's hand. On boards where it COULD delete posts it became clear what sort of posts were an actual threat to it's boss. Which in turn outted it for what it was. They thought the tactics that worked on Reddit (infiltrate mods) T_D and VOAT (infiltrate mods) would work here. It works to SOME extent on /pol/ re infiltrating MODs, but apparently they've given up there (can't herd cats) as the last few days for the first time in MONTHS and months, 4chan had a call out for Jannies….they've abandoned their posts I guess. Pun intended.
