It's exceedingly likely that there has been human exploration/activity on Mars since at least the 1970s. Of course not reported in MSM.
However, if that likelihood is indeed the case, then the transport systems (think much more advanced than space shuttle / Saturn V rocket tech) and living spaces on Mars are probably very well-established and developed.
The stress on the human body in an electrogravitic craft is much less than in rockets, space shuttles, etc. In fact the ride is probably a bit smoother than what we experience in a Boeing 737.
