I know that, too, but considering the fact that I have to change all of the identifiers on my laptop on a daily basis in addition to changing the identifiers on my WiFi network AND using a VPN, I'm pretty sure that updating the trip code is going to be a mandatory. I've been receiving daily phishing e-mails from different formerly reliable websites and mailing lists that one of my e-mails is on. The other ones are more secure, but it's crazy bad and I can't imagine that the Q team is better off than a plebe like myself.
