A Solar System Among Us

The country of Sweden’s national hockey arena is located in The Globe in Stockholm. Some people are familiar with this majestic arena, but they might not be aware that it was built in a very specific spot – on purpose! In fact, there are actually globe statues across the entire country of Sweden.

These statues were specifically placed in order to make a city-sized replica of our solar system. The Globen was built right where the sun would be, and each planet was actually built with the proper proportions! Looks like our very educated mother just showed us nine planets!
