I was also looking into this yesterday. The mag field over whole Western Hemisphere is notable weaker than the Eastern.
Attempted to see if there was any connection to use of chemtrails, perhaps as a way to boost the field similar to wire wrapping around an electromagnet, but ran up against wall.
