Thank you for posting this. I've been trying to figure out what the angle was for Buffet to do that big buy. Is it related to the picture of the pallets Q posted? I was hoping Apple was a "good guy" as far as tech companies go, but it is probably as bad Google and Microsoft as far as data mining, selling data and the like. Then again, deep down, I knew better.

My theory was that Buffet knows what is on the pallets; it is some new technology that is going to transform computing to a whole new level.

Let's assume it is not. Could Apple be in contract negotiations with the government to provide new technology that is not easily hacked or tracked? Think about it: the number of viruses for PC platforms are much higher than Apple devices, historically. I didn't see any 2018 articles on a quick search, but did find this:

It would be a huge undertaking to switch platforms for the government, and they would load Microsoft applications onto their Macs, negating the Apple security, in my opinion. That is my personal bias, though.
