A contract is a contract. It would still be in effect. The other 9 participants in that contract would have a cause for action against the one that broke that contract. A new contract would not be needed unless the remaining nine all agreed and opted to amend the current contract, abolish the contract thus releasing everyone from their obligations or rewrite the contract and in effect, starting over. Variable outcomes depending on the will of the others.
