Eglin employs F-15s produced in the 1970s through the 1990s, and the new EX model features digital flight controls, advanced cockpit touch displays, new sensors, and advanced computer technology.

The Air Force's newest fighter, the F-15EX, touched down at Eglin AFB March 11. The aircraft will be the first Air Force aircraft to be tested and fielded from beginning to end, through combined developmental and operational testing.

Despite uncertainties about the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) future, the US government remains committed to helping the Philippines modernize its armed forces, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said yesterday.

The People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) sent one Shaanxi Y-8 reconnaissance plane and one Shaanxi Y-8 anti-submarine warfare plane into the southwest corner of Taiwan’s ADIZ, according to the Ministry of National Defense (MND). U.S. Navy Calls China's Rapid Sea Power Rise Concerning, But Will Confront
The U.S. Navy has expressed concern about the rapid rise of China's maritime military forces, but said it would continue to challenge Beijing's activities across the Asia-Pacific.
"The entirety of People's Liberation Army Navy growth in both capacity and capability is concerning," U.S. Navy Assistant Chief of Information Commander Courtney Hillson told Newsweek in a statement.
