Agree with the anon who said it's database injection.
If a rogue baker has access to the database or database credentials that he can pass on, hackers who have the database structure can pre-fill it with ids, posts and images and just copy it all at once into the empty database for a new bread.
They don't use the user interface at all, that is post reply input box, captcha, etc. Everything is done directly to the database with sql commands,
The IP blocks we're experiencing is a quick fix to stop hackers getting access to the write side of 8Kun, I think. You can block IPs geographically, like, for example, you could block an entire area code. Problem there is it takes out a lot of innocents with it. With the depth and breadth of the attack it's the only thing you can do short term, though.
Long term probably means going to a new database structure. It may mean archives are blown. Could be why Q said to archive offline.
With the attacks stepping up on Trump, not intelligent enough, should have declassed, etc. etc., and the attempt to take out 8kun's ability to communicate, my guess is something's about to happen and they need all things Trump/Q discredited bigly.
