https://www.rt.com/news/517963-austria-secret-contracts-vaccine-eu/

Covid-19 jabs are being distributed unevenly between EU member states, Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said, pointing to “secret contracts” signed at a “vaccine bazaar” with big pharma by the bloc’s vaccination steering board.

“Deliveries are not happening in line with population,” Kurz told a press conference organized at short notice on Friday. He added that the situation would likely be “exacerbated in the coming months” and said the differences between member states could become “even greater.”

The chancellor said that delivery data for the jabs showed some strange differences in how vaccination campaigns are proceeding in different states. He said he had discussed the issue with officials from Belgium, Greece, Poland, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.

According to Kurz, while 15 percent of Malta’s population had already received their first vaccine dose, only 11 percent of Hungarians and nine percent of Danes got it. Bulgaria and Latvia are currently lagging further behind as just three percent of the population there got their first dose.

The root of the problem lies not in how quickly countries are rolling out their campaigns, but in the fact that some nations somehow received more doses in relation to their population than others, Kurz said.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/aoc-andrew-cuomo-resign-new-york-governor-b1816511.html

In a joint statement, New York representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman have called on Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign.

The lawmakers said that the allegations of sexual assault and harassment against the New York governor were “consistent and highly detailed”, and that the latest report being so recent is “alarming” raising concerns for the well-being of administration staff.

In addition, the pair cited the allegations that the Cuomo administration hid data relating to Covid-19 deaths in nursing homes from the public and state legislature.

In addition to the statement, Ms Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “After two accounts of sexual assault, four accounts of harassment, the Attorney General’s investigation finding the Governor’s admin hid nursing home data from the legislature & public, we agree with the 55+ members of the New York State legislature that the Governor must resign.”

Idiots in charge

https://www.thenationalnews.com/world/tim-lenderking-announces-washington-to-resume-aid-deliveries-to-houthi-enclaves-in-yemen-1.1183015

US aid shipments to Houthi-held territory in northern Yemen have resumed in a reversal of a ban imposed by the previous administration, Washington’s special envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking said on Friday.

"Just today, the US restored humanitarian assistance and funding in north Yemen to help meet the region’s critical need,” Mr Lenderking said at a panel at the Atlantic Council, a Washington-based think tank. “Only through a durable ceasefire can we hope to reverse the direct humanitarian crisis.”

Mr Lenderking’s remarks came just after he returned from a two-and-a-half-week trip to the Gulf to hammer out a ceasefire aimed at ending Yemen’s six-year civil war pitting the Saudi-led coalition and intentionally recognised government against the Houthi rebels.

“We now have a sound plan for a nationwide ceasefire with elements that would immediately address Yemen’s dire humanitarian situation directly,” said Mr Lenderking. “That plan has been before the Houthi leadership for a number of days.”

“Tragically and somewhat confusingly for me, it appears that the Houthis are prioritizing a military campaign to take Marib, home to over 1 million [internationally displaced persons], over suspending the war, including relief to the Yemeni people. I will return immediately when the Houthis are prepared to talk.”

https://www.metro.us/u-s-justice-department-says-3/

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department on Friday said it expects to file criminal charges against more than 100 additional people who allegedly participated in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, in what it described as probably the most complex investigation it has ever handled.

More than 300 people already face charges stemming from the siege, which left five people dead and more than 130 police officers injured as thousands of supporters of former President Donald Trump tried to prevent Congress from certifying his election defeat.

The Justice Department made the disclosure in court filings seeking 60-day extensions in some cases so that investigators can adequately pull together evidence.

“The investigation and prosecution of the Capitol Attack will likely be one of the largest in American history, both in terms of the number of defendants prosecuted and the nature and volume of the evidence,” federal prosecutors said in the court filings.

More than 900 search warrants have been executed in almost all 50 states and the District of Columbia, prosecutors said.

https://reason.com/2021/03/12/hero-pay-requirement-for-grocery-workers-results-in-unemployed-heroes/

Mandated "hero pay" will add up to about $0 an hour for some grocery store workers in Los Angeles. Grocers there are closing three stores in response to newly enacted legislation that requires them to pay their workers an additional $5 an hour during the pandemic.

"It's never our desire to close a store, but when you factor in the increased costs of operating during COVID-19, consistent financial losses at these three locations, and an extra pay mandate that will cost nearly $20 million over the next 120 days, it becomes impossible to operate these three stores," said grocery store chain Kroger in a statement given to CBS Los Angeles, announcing that two Ralphs-branded stores and one Food 4 Less location, would be shutting down.

The closures come after the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors passed its COVID hero pay ordinance in late February. A near-identical $5-per-hour hero pay law was passed by the Los Angeles City Council in early March.

The Washington branch of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW)—which represents grocery store workers and has been a driving force behind hero pay laws—called the store closures in Seattle "a transparent attempt to intimidate other local governments,"

Vlad say's it is all political

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2021/mar/12/vladimir-putin-calls-us-capitol-riot-a-stroll-for-/

Russia President Vladimir Putin on Thursday seemed to downplay the severity of the raid of the U.S. Capitol, saying rioters are facing related charges for taking a walk or stroll into the building.

Speaking at a meeting about Russian investment activity, Mr. Putin brought up the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol building while talking about striving for stability between Moscow and Washington.

“Of all those who walked into the US Congress building, 150 people were arrested and face anywhere from 15 to 25 years in prison,” Mr. Putin said in Russian, as translated into English by the Kremlin.

“We really want them to stop, and I will tell you why. We are interested in steady relations with all our key partners, and internal squabbles, for internal political reasons, are in the way of achieving this kind of stability in the relations between our states,” said Mr. Putin, as translated by the Kremlin.

Buzzfeed is still raping Huffpost

https://thehill.com/homenews/media/542933-buzzfeed-reducing-uk-huffpost-news-staff

BuzzFeed is reducing its HuffPost staff in the United Kingdom, a BuzzFeed spokeswoman confirmed Friday.

The reductions come after layoffs at HuffPost in the United States were announced this week.

“BuzzFeed has announced today that it’s begun a restructuring of HuffPost in order to break even this year and fast-track its path to profitability,” said Tess Atkinson, BuzzFeed’s chief of staff and head of international communications in an emailed statement.

Staff were notified Tuesday about the plans, Atkinson said in an interview, and are currently talking with the company about other potential jobs at the company. The number of eliminated jobs will be under 20, she added, but it will not have a final number until the end of next week.

https://thefederalist.com/2021/03/12/come-outside-you-dont-scare-me-b-tch-watch-antifa-menace-portland-courthouse-in-another-fiery-night/

A group of more than 50 rioters dressed in black attacked the Mark Hatfield Federal Courthouse in Portland on Thursday, vandalizing the building, smashing windows, and lighting parts of it on fire while people were still inside.

Antifa previously attempted to menace people inside the federal courthouse on Thursday afternoon, yelling “come outside,” “you don’t scare me b-tch,” “death to America,” and “f-ck the United States” while throwing water and other liquids inside the glass doors, repeatedly banging on them, and trying to enter. The attack reportedly prompted federal officials to reinstate some of the recently-removed barriers in front of the federal building including boards on the windows.

Earlier in the day, dozens of people reportedly rallied in the streets to call for the “end of America” in the name of honoring and supporting indigenous people. Law enforcement arrested at least one person over the course of the afternoon related to demonstrations and later arrested 22-year-old Darby Howard “for causing destruction during a separate demonstration in protest of a proposed pipeline project.”
