Yeah I was pretty skeptical of the vax at first for exactly the reasons you say. Did a bunch of reading, though, and at least the way they designed it, it doesn't actually modify our DNA. It works alongside our own DNA. There are RNAs that can change DNA, but to my understanding this isn't one of them.
