Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance will not run for reelection
Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance will not run for a fourth term even though that may preclude him from completing the investigation into former President Donald Trump.
Vance, 66, plans to retire from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office at the end of 2021, and the decision was mostly made before the Trump case began, he said. Eight Democratic candidates have already begun campaigning for the job.
His office in February obtained millions of pages of documents related to the former president’s tax returns from January 2011 to August 2019 after the Supreme Court denied Trump’s final push to keep his records sealed.
“It turned out to be tougher than I thought it would be,” he said. “There’s nothing worse than a politician who doesn’t know when to leave.”

Realclearpolicy.com reports: Nuru was charged with one count of alleged public corruption and is innocent until proven guilty. “The complaint describes a web of corruption involving bribery, kickbacks, and side deals by one of San Francisco’s highest-ranking city employees,” said U.S. Attorney David L. Anderson. “The public is entitled to honest work from public officials, free from manipulation for the official’s own personal benefit and profit.”
Nuru was well paid in his futile attempt to keep San Francisco streets clean. His total taxpayer-funded cash compensation in 2019 was $380,120, and his base salary had jumped by $65,000 over eight years. Currently, the federal investigation that snared Nuru has charged nine people with one already sentenced.

COVID sex advice that’s supposedly glorious
On the official Public Health — Seattle & King County Instagram account, county workers have posted a series of short videos under the series, “Sex & Dating During COVID-19.”
Each post features videos of text messages between two people who are struggling to be safe during COVID, but also maintain a healthy sex life.
In one video, the advice recommends you engage in cyber sex, with one texter sending their girlfriend or friend-with-benefits, “But there are other ways we could ~connect~” along with a wry emoji. The texter recommends they hop on Zoom for the fun.
One piece of advice caught the attention of a listener to the Dori Monson Show on KIRO Radio, who first reported it. The post, from October, recommended using a specific … strategy … for “creative ways to have safer sex” during COVID.
