It seems weird that a former Marine leading Space Command, but I bet leaders are hard to find.
So this guy, U.S. Space Command, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, sucks at telling the truth with logic. He is pretty good at dodging the intended issue, which is why I don't like his ideas or arguments.
He mentions that pregnant women are excellent because civilian command and medical professionals say so. He does not explain what excellence might be. Does it mean "excellence at getting me promoted" or "excellent at throwing grenades" or something else? (Some female Marines actually throw grenades better than I do, so I respect those ladies more than I respect U.S. Space Command, Command Senior Enlisted Leader.)
It's one thing to love the military as a group. It's yet another thing to think that military folks are experts who stand above criticism. It's yet a third thing to think that U.S. Space Command, Command Senior Enlisted Leader speaks for all military folks.
So here is the problem. Suppose I like SOME military folks. Suppose I like the cynical enlisted men who tell me that officers are careerists, but I don't like officers. I find myself with vague warm-fuzzy feelings toward the military as a whole, but pointed criticisms of some individuals inside the military. Does that make me a USMILhater? Do I have the right to say that I love the USA as a country more than I love the USMIL?
