I remember the 1st time that one of my children lied to me. It wasn't a big lie, there was no threat, it was just a matter of not wanting to be caught. You're right, hand in the cookie jar, admitting it, and leaving the cookies alone, would have sufficed. Or, even saying yeah, I sell X, Y, Z, and I won't stop just because Q said so. That I could respect, but wouldn't buy (and that's the fear. losing sales). Many other ways to make money than riding the Q wave, but again as you said, a little attention is to be taken advantage of these days whenever possible.
