You break open the truth using the law. Depending on how this goes, that could be grounds for enacting tribunals for those who were military or in command of military assets. Even if 'fruit of the poisonous tree' and other such things apply to civilian courts and can be used for legal defense - the military court system is less concerned about where evidence comes from and far more concerned with whether or not you are a criminal scumbag.
Though, we have a history of assuming things will go according to a grandiose display of force… And then the opfor just spontaneously combust, instead. So I am mostly observing to learn how it's done.
