Top Biden nominee claims taxpayer-funded abortion is necessary for 'racial justice'

'…eliminating the Hyde Amendment is a matter of economic and racial justice'

President Joe Biden's nominee for deputy budget director, Shalanda Young, believes that abortion is "a matter of economic and racial justice."

News of Young's position on abortion was made public after her nomination was advanced out of the Senate Budget Committee and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee down party lines last week.

What are the details?

Despite having earned general bipartisan support on Capitol Hill, 15 of the 18 Republicans who sit on both committees ultimately voted against advancing Young's nomination.

According to the New York Post, the Republican senators who voted against Young cited her perspective toward the Hyde Amendment, the law that prohibits federal tax dollars from funding abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.

Young told senators that eliminating the Hyde Amendment is necessary to promote "racial justice."

"The President has spoken in favor of Congress ending the Hyde Amendment as part of his commitment to providing comprehensive health care for all women," she said, the Post reported.

"Further, eliminating the Hyde Amendment is a matter of economic and racial justice because it most significantly impacts Medicaid recipients, who are low-income and more likely to be women of color," Young added.

What did lawmakers say?

Ohio Sen. Rob Portman (R) said he initially supported Young's nomination. But that changed after he became aware of her perspective of the Hyde Amendment.

"I had planned to support Ms. Young based on her testimony before the committee," Portman said, Roll Call reported. "In reviewing her answers to the committee's questions for the record, though, I've got to say I was really troubled by her responses, particularly her strong advocacy for eliminating the Hyde amendment."

Meanwhile, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), the ranking member of the Budget Committee, voted to advance Young's nomination, but sought reassurances that she would not support regulation that "changes Hyde or chips away at it."

Senate Homeland Security Chairman Gary Peters (D-Mich.), however, voiced concern over sudden opposition by Republicans, and called Young's perspective "fact."

"In her written responses, Ms. Young stated that ending the Hyde amendment is a matter of economic and racial justice because its impact is felt most among low-income women of color. This is simply a statement of fact," Peters said, Roll Call reported. "But she also confirmed that she will follow current law, which includes the Hyde amendment. So I have a hard time following the objections of my Republican colleagues."

Young's position on important issues like abortion found new prominence after reports indicated that top Democrats want Biden to nominate Young as director of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.

Biden's previous nominee for the job, Teera Nanden, withdrew her nomination amid bipartisan scrutiny.

Radiant Israel, a special events and tour company founded “as a means to build the bridges between nations of the world & Israel” has released a video decrying the COVID-19 lockdowns and passports as “wicked” and “demonic” and compares them to a second Holocaust.

Radiant Israel founder Gilad Rosinger released a video on the Radiant Israel Facebook page decrying the actions taken by the Israeli government to pressure people to take the COVID-19 vaccine, and only allow those who have taken it to participate in society.

“Israel, unbelievably, is the leader in this global demonic deception,” said Rosinger. “There’s a saying in Israel that goes, “Never again.” Every Holocaust Day, every year there’s a day to celebrate the Holocaust, to remember, not to celebrate what happened, but to celebrate the fact that Israel has its independent state, and never again will the Jewish people be killed. Never again will the murder of innocent people take place. That is what, supposedly, this Jewish nation is founded upon.”

“Israel has just passed this green passport system. Do you understand what this is? This is a program where they are only allowing the people that have been vaccinated to participate in society,” Rosinger explained. “To go to restaurants, to go to malls, to go to theaters, to go to sporting events. That’s right If you do not submit to this wicked, demonic, tyrannical agenda, if you choose to say, ‘I’m not ready to participate in this experimental program’, then you are now considered a second class citizen in Israel.”

“There is no sugar coating this, this is exactly what’s happening,” he added. “Where are the international human rights courts on this? Where are the lawsuits? Where is the outrage?”

According to The Jerusalem Post, the green passport program allows those enrolled – Israelis who have been fully vaccinated or recovered from the virus – to once again leave their homes and go to “Gyms, theaters, hotels, concerts, and synagogues” that have “registered under the green passport program” and “will be able to operate.”

“We are giving a huge line to vaccinators,” Jerusalem Post reports Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein saying earlier this month. “This is the first step back to an almost normal life.”

Rosinger decries this two tiered societal system as comparable to the years in Nazi Germany that lead to the Holocaust, when millions of Jews were killed.

“What happened that we have strayed so far into a delirious state of total insanity? Where people are actually cheering on this demonic, wicked agenda? My grandfather was the only survivor out of his whole family of the Holocaust, and this is exactly how it started: With discrimination, with essential and nonessential businesses, with people saying that Jews were second class citizens,” said Rosinger.

“Now, it’s not about Jews, it’s not about Arab, it’s not about that. It’s about who will take the vaccination.” He added, “If you don’t do it, you’re wicked, you’re evil, you’re a second class citizen.”

Rosinger then explained the level of what he believes to be manipulation and coercion that are being employed in Israel to convince citizens to take the vaccine and become part of the green passport system.

“High level government officials are saying you should send the police to people’s houses that aren’t being vaccinated. Release the names of people that aren’t being vaccinated,” said Rosinger. “Go to their houses? Release their names? What kind of manipulation, what kind of bullying, what kind of wicket, tyrannical agenda is this?”

“It is time to go and raise a righteous war cry. It is time for people to understand. It’s happening right here in Israel,” he urged, “This thing is coming all over the world, but what is this? This is absolute insanity. It’s anti-Christ. It’s wicked.”

“We are commanded to shine light on wicked oppressive agendas. It’s part of the victory strategy of heaven. You cannot sit idly by and watch wicked, demonic, evil systems being imposed and not say anything. You have to call it out, you have to sound the alarm. You have to say, ‘This is evil, we resist it, we rebuke it.'”

US ‘COVID Relief’ Was Enough to Give Every Taxpayer $41,870 But We Got Peanuts Instead

(FEE) President Biden just signed his sweeping $1.9 trillion spending package into law. Once this bill hits the books, total taxpayer expenditure on (ostensibly) COVID relief will hit $6 trillion—which, roughly estimated, comes out to $41,870 in spending per federal taxpayer.

Did you see anywhere near that much in benefit?

The sheer immensity of this spending is hard to grasp. For context, $6 trillion is more than one-fourth of what the US economy produces in an entire year, according to Fox Business. The COVID spending blowout is at least eight times bigger than the (inflation-adjusted) price tag of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s “New Deal.”

Moreover, the COVID spending bills have all lost huge sums of money to unrelated carve-outs, politician pet projects, corporate bailouts, fraud, waste, and worse.

In the latest $1.9 trillion package, more than 90 percent of the spending is not directly related to containing COVID-19. Only 1 percent of the money, about $15 to $20 billion, is spent on vaccines. Meanwhile, hundreds of billions go to bailing out poorly managed state governments’ budget holes that predate the pandemic and $86 billion rescues failing pension plans. Meanwhile, billions more go to Obamacare expansion and subsidizing public schools long after the pandemic.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

The Math Doesn’t Add Up

The numbers here really are quite damning.

For the same $6 trillion in expenditure, the government could have given every federal taxpayer a $41,870 check. Or, to think about it a bit differently, it could have written every American roughly an $18,181 check.

Let’s compare this to what most Americans actually received.

Only someone who fully collected expanded unemployment benefits throughout the pandemic and received all $3,200 in total of the stimulus payments likely received more than $18,181 in direct benefit from this spending package. And that’s a relatively small fraction of the public.

Because of the way the government used outdated (and arbitrary) income data to determine eligibility, many more taxpayers saw nothing or little in exchange for their $41,870 share of the cost, perhaps just the initial $1,200 stimulus or none at all. (Meanwhile, billions in checks went to dead people).

So, for almost all Americans, the actual benefits of the multiple pieces of lengthy stimulus legislation come in far, far below the figure that they would have received if the entire pile of money was just even split up and sent out.

How can that possibly be considered a success? In fact, it’s actually a net negative.

Trade-Offs Are Inescapable

Too often, the stimulus conversation is simply framed around whether we should give money to a certain group of people or program—rather than also including the trade-offs and costs.

De Blasio: Cuomo Is ‘Literally in the Way of Us Saving Lives Right Now’

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) on said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) was “in the way of us saving lives” because he is busy dealing with multiple sexual misconduct allegations and therefore distracted from the coronavirus pandemic.

When asked if Cuomo will resign, De Blasio said, “I think he’ll try to hold out Margaret. I think he is used to getting things his way, and it’s been almost an imperial governorship. But I gotta tell you, the folks in this state and political leadership don’t believe in him anymore. He doesn’t have any credibility.”

He continued, “So I think an impeachment proceeding will begin. And I think he will be impeached, and perhaps right before that, he’ll decide to resign. That’s probably the most likely outcome right now, but I got to tell you something. He should resign right now because he’s holding up our effort to fight COVID. He’s literally in the way of us saving lives right now.”

He added, “He just needs to resign so we can actually turn the page. And- and look, it’s an optimistic time as you started out this morning. It’s an optimistic time. We got to put the past behind us. Andrew Cuomo can’t lead us into the future. We’ve got the people of the state ready to reopen, but we need to get him out of the way to do it.”

Over 100 Attacks Linked to Supporters of Far-Left Greek Terrorist

The Greek Ministry of Citizen Protection has revealed that there have been at least 101 attacks with incendiary and explosive devices, vandalism attacks, and incidents of property damage by supporters of Greek far-left terrorist Dimitris Koufontinas.

As of March 9th, the ministry stated that there had been a total of 236 rallies in support of the convicted terrorist, who recently ended a 66-day hunger strike after demanding to be transferred away from his current maximum-security prison, where he is servicing multiple life sentences.

According to a report from the newspaper Proto Thema, the Ministry answered a total of 42 questions on various topics, including noting that complaints against police for arbitrary use of force had increased from 69 in 2015 to 111 in 2020.

Supporters of Dimitris Koufontinas have occupied multiple offices, including those of several Greek ministries in the last several weeks.

In late February, 42 far-left militants were arrested after storming the Greek cultural ministry offices in Athens. A day later, unidentified suspects vandalised the Greek sports minister’s offices on the island of Crete, spray-painting slogans supporting the convicted terrorist.

Just days prior, anarchists targeted the home of Greek president Katerina Sakellaropoulou in Athens, and supporters of Koufontinas in Berlin attempted to occupy the Greek consulate.

One of the most violent incidents from Koufontinas supporters took place in the Athens suburbs of Nea Filadelfeia, and saw unidentified suspects firebomb the governing New Democracy party’s offices.

Federal authorities investigate New York sheriff who flew pro-Trump flag while on patrol

Federal investigators issued an official warning to a New York sheriff after a complaint was lodged against him for flying a pro-Trump flag on his patrol boat last summer.

What happened?

While patrolling Oneida Lake during a "Flotilla for Trump" rally last August, Oswego County Sheriff Don Hilton said he proceeded to fly a "Making America Great Again" flag that a rally participant gave him, Syracuse.com reported.

Hilton later admitted he permitted the flag, which had Donald Trump's image emblazoned on it, to be flown from the government-owned patrol boat because Trump "has supported law enforcement at a time when many groups are unjustly vilifying our profession."

The incident polarized Oswego County, and many residents publicly spoke out against Hilton.

What did the federal investigator say?

The complaint alleged Hilton had violated the Hatch Act by flying the pro-Trump flag.

The Hatch Act is a federal law passed in 1939 that limits certain political activities of federal employees, in addition to some state and local government employees who work in connection with federally funded programs, according to [the U.S. Office of Special Counsel]. The Hatch Act is aimed at protecting the public workforce from partisan political influence and ensuring the nonpartisan administration of laws.

The OSC said Hilton and the Oswego County Sheriff's Office are subject to the Hatch Act because the department receives federal funding for certain activities and is therefore covered by the law.

In a letter, the U.S. Office of Special Counsel said that Hilton would face disciplinary action if he engages in overt political action again that violates the Hatch Act.

"Please be advised that if you engage in any future prohibited political activity while employed in a Hatch Act-covered position, OSC would consider such activity to be a willful and knowing violation of the law that could result in disciplinary action," Erica Hamrick, the deputy chief of the Hatch Act Unit, said.

The Pentagon’s Fight With Tucker Carlson Proves It Doesn’t Even Exist To Win Wars Anymore

Tucker Carlson may have never served in the armed forces, but he’s still decisively winning a PR war against the U.S. military. That shouldn’t surprise anyone, of course. The U.S. military loses most of the wars it fights these days.

During America’s long golden age as a country, the military typically abstained from politics and won wars. But in the decaying Globalist American Empire, the military plays a very different role. Protecting America and winning conflicts isn’t the military’s goal at all. Instead, the armed forces have become a skinsuit. This once-great institution has been repurposed into a vehicle for globalist and left-wing domestic political goals.

The clash between Carlson and the DoD began on Monday. In remarks delivered for the Communist holiday of International Women’s Day, Biden boasted of how he and President Obama had worked to make the military a fully gender-neutral body:

I’m incredibly proud that in 2015, under the Obama-Biden administration, we took the final steps to open up all positions in the military to anyone qualified to serve in them. The women who join today’s military aren’t told “no” when they apply to fly fighter jets or attack helicopters just because of their gender. They aren’t told “no” when they want to apply to Ranger School or infantry officer basic training. [White House]

Biden bragged that it is easier than ever for pregnant women, and women who care about their appearance, to serve in the armed forces.

We’re making good progress designing body armor that fits women properly; tailoring combat uniforms for women; creating maternity flight suits; updating — updating requirements for their hairstyles.

And Biden said, overtly, that his administration would be fighting to change the military to make it more feminine, a place where a woman trying to become a general is as easy to understand as a woman becoming a teacher or a nurse.

And some of it is going to take — and — you know, an intensity of purpose and mission to really change the culture and habits that cause women to leave the military: That women are — making sure more diverse candidates are considering — being considered for career-advancing opportunities at every single level. That women aren’t penalized in their careers for having children. That women aren’t just token members, but integral parts throughout all branches and all divisions.

In response, on Tuesday night, Tucker Carlson said what any American would have said 50 years ago, and what every reasonable person still believes now: That making the military more feminine makes it weaker, not stronger, and that carving out new rules so that pregnant women can serve (while keeping their hairstyles and painted nails to boot) is grotesque.

Nothing Carlson said is insane, or even particularly notable. What’s notable is the shrill, borderline ridiculous response from the once-apolitical Defense establishment.
