Dr. Paul A. Byrne, a neonatologist and clinical professor of pediatrics, has researched organ donation and says that the decision criteria for donors are arbitrary. Byrne says that most organs must be harvested while the person is alive, otherwise they deteriorate quickly. People are given injections to paralyze them so they won't move around as organs are removed, and there have been reports of people who escaped harvesting at the last minute who said they were awake and could hear what was happening, but could not say anything.

Given what has been said about ritual murders and organ harvesting, I wonder how many of these hospital-located procedures are actually more of these ghoulish practices in plain sight.
