Not to drive anyone on a tangent, but I just noticed that the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative's Section 301 report into China's unfair commercial practices said that OmniVision's camera sensors were used in the iPhone. Santa Clara-based OmniVision was acquired by three Chinese investment groups in 2016. Bank of America was an adviser in the acquisition. Were these shipments of the camera sensors for iPhone integration in China? Was BoA's advising in the merger legal? Logan Act violation?
Posts came right around the time of Trump twatting about his financial team negotiating trade in China.
