Senator Grassley's Remarks on Sunshine Week 2021

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgOOm_Pi00o

Introduction of several pieces of legislation and calls to bolster FOIA process in an effort to enforce the idea of 'accountability through transparency'

Grassley calls for cameras in courtrooms, in step with the rest of the world that went virtual in response to The Pandemic.

He also calls for the disclosure of all parties in a judicial case - including financial backers who generally operate in secret.

Grassley claims Americans should be aware of the parties funding many of the lawsuits today, noting without them you wouldn't have a lot of the cases on the dockets.

He then goes on to torch the historical role US Government has played in the withholding of information to the general public, and alludes the insanity of such an instance in History in which Americans were kept in the dark as much as possible.

On refining the FOIA process:

'The Public's business should be public - except in the case of NAT SEC or privacy.'

"Without sunshine there cannot be growth - and both Corn and Democracy thrive in the light.

Remember, once again - this is Sunshine Week, Transparency brings Accountability"

THE JIG IS UP

Q unmasked? Right-wing conspiracy group QAnon's mysterious leader Q is named as Ron Watkins, the son of 8Chan owner, in new docu-series

"A new HBO docu-series has named the head of QAnon as Ron Watkins, the son of the founder of 8Chan.

Q: Into The Storm is airing on HBO Max on March 21. Its filmmakers name Watkins, the son of 8Chan founder Jim Watkins, as Q, the head of the right-wing, pro-Trump conspiracy theory group.

Ron Watkins is interviewed as part of the series as his father and other members of the group.

It's unclear why filmmaker Cullen Hoback thinks he is Q. Holback says he spent three years studying the right-wing group and he is interviewed for the series.

In a trailer for it, he told the filmmakers: 'So you're making a list of who might be Q?

'Let's continue then.'

Ron is the administrator of 8Chan (now known as 8Kun), an online message board where QAnon sprouted roots in 2017 and gained followers."
