when firing that gun, padding is placed in that area because that's where the spent casing lands after it's ejected. It a large casing and would otherwise cause damage to the deck.
Usually rubber mats are used, so anons were examining the arrangement and coloring of the pallets to determine if there was some kind of message being communicated.
Likely nothing, but hopefully you're aware that much of our value here is based on the fact that some of us can't help but exhaust any suspicion before dropping it.
What raised my suspicion even more was how many comments there were along the lines of "you're wasting your time it's just padding don't be dumb"…
