We're given many distractions for this sink to be let in, so it's logical to presume that happenings will resume at some point.

That being said, there has never ceased a sense of tumultuous despair because the promises have always been discrete, delivered through double speak, plausibly deniable, and seemingly designed to be debunkable by the moron class.
