This is big stuff. For HIV/AIDS, people have always taken an antibody test first, and if it's positive (high rate of false positives), the diagnosis of HIV is "confirmed" with the PCR test. There's a lot of people taking medication for a lifetime because the PCR test was used to diagnose.
