Real absinthe's special ingredient is Thujone, which is a very weird mild stimulant, makes you feel that you're not drunk psychologically, allowing you to get, in a very subtle climb, exceedingly drunk and still feel "clear", but also with the alcohol-induced euphoria..

By itself, its hard to notice any sort of psychedelic effect, but after awhile, getting this "clear" drunk on a regular basis kind of helps you get there on your own.. and THC has a sort of, catalyst relationship with Thujone, the sum is greater than the parts in that combo..

Absinthe has a ridiculous reputation, very misrepresented.. People who drink absinthe though, often have other weird substance habits partnered with it.. And it is magically

delicious

I will say though that on absinthe alone, and a bit of concentration and maybe some other psychedelic experience or just general mindful awareness of yourself, you can detect a sort of dissociative disruption in your regular thinking.
