Also, and I’ve been thinking this for awhile, I think the appearance of our military shifting to just another progressive arm of the d party could - COULD - be a way to eliminate the notion that the military was weaponized against Dems once (if) the hammer drops.
Like “stand down” and “cleanse” itself from “right wing extremists” before they start the tribunals. All so as to appear as neutral as possible.
