I’ve noticed this is usually in people using it who have little motivation to begin with, or who are coping with a hidden mental issue like depression or vitamin D deficiency or something.

I’m an avid daily smoker and I would say it wrecks my motivation but only when I’m already down. Otherwise it eases chronic pain and I can get stuff done.

Fair enough! I see that. I desire that sensation often so I do use it to help as a capacitor, to prevent a “cold start” to a creative endeavor or solving a problem. But I (for the first time in my life) have considered putting it down more and more.
