When is a plane tagged AF1?

When the CIC is on board.

over 1 month on and yet STILL SEE anons asking why his plane is NEVER tagged AF1

(but IS radar visible so it's not for added security reasons)

Note: yes the press keep calling his plane AF1, they know it's not, and they know why,

• merits AF1 tag on any plane boarded

POTUS: civilian title:

• does merit a salute out of courtesy

• does NOT merit the AF1 plane tag.
