German police clash with protesters at Kassel demonstration against Covid-19 restrictions

Multiple scuffles broke out on the streets of Kassel, Germany as Covid-19 lockdown skeptics and counterprotesters gathered, and police deployed mace and batons to contain the demonstration.

Protests against Covid-19 restrictions in multiple major cities across the country were planned for Saturday, with the biggest occurring in the central German city of Kassel.

According to local media reports, citing police, at least 10 thousand people showed up for a rally there, many of them refusing to wear masks.

The marching protesters chanted “Wir sind das Volk” (“We are the people”) at one point, a slogan commonly used in the past during anti-communism demonstrations in East Germany.

Dutch police shower anti-lockdown protesters with water cannons after crowd assembles near Van Gogh Museum

Amsterdam police deployed two water cannons and officers in riot gear to prevent an unpermitted protest against Covid-19 restrictions, ultimately making the crowd leave the area.

The anti-lockdown rally gathered on Saturday in Amsterdam’s Museumplein, a green open space named for the three national museums located in the area. The protest took place without a permit from the municipality, so the police declared Museumplein a security risk area, threatening a possible crackdown on those gathering there. This didn’t stop a large crowd of activists from coming and mingling with ordinary people, who frequently hang out at the museum neighborhood on weekends.

Republicans Join Democrat Corruption – Vote to Accept Earmarks and the Frivolous Spending That Goes with Them

NY Supreme Court Judge Rules New York Times Used 'Deceptive Disinformation' To Smear Project Veritas

A New York Supreme Court Judge last week excoriated the New York Times, ruling that they used "reckless disregard" and "acted with actual malice" when two of their reporters deceptively presented opinions as fact in several articles denigrating whistleblower organization Project Veritas.

Hunter Biden Had Business Ties With Xi Jinping Himself, Bombshell Email Reveals

Stunning revelations about Hunter Biden and his family’s notorious business dealings came to light in this week’s episode of the John-Henry Westen Show during an interview with Jack Maxey, former co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room and one of the first people to go through the contents of Biden’s alleged laptop last October.

China is Suing Academics Who Criticize Their Forced Sterlization and Labor Camps

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is supporting lawsuits – purportedly from companies and individuals in the Xinjiang province – against Dr. Adrian Zenz, a German researcher and Senior Fellow in China Studies at the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC).

The VOC claims:

The lawsuit, filed by Beijing-controlled courts, follows the extensive research published by Dr. Zenz detailing the systematic persecution of Uyghurs and other minorities in the Xinjiang region, including subjecting them to forced sterilization and forced labor—crimes unthinkable in the 21st century. This evidence is derived directly from official Chinese government documents.

Zenz’s research has focused on such topics as minority labor transfers in China as a scheme to reduce Uyghur population density, as well as forced labor in the Xinjiang cotton-picking industry, which prompted the U.S. government to ban all imports of cotton and tomatoes from Xinjiang. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo highlighted one of Zenz’s reports on evidence of measures intended to limit births among Uyghur women.

Donald C. Clarke, a law professor at George Washington University specializing in Chinese law, provided legal analysis:

Unidentified companies from Xinjiang have—no doubt at state direction—filed a lawsuit in a Xinjiang court against researcher Adrian Zenz. This is a civil suit seeking compensation for damages allegedly caused by Zenz’s published research regarding crimes against humanity and arguably genocide being committed in Xinjiang by the Chinese state and its agents . . . There is little doubt that the plaintiffs will win in China. But what can they do with their victory? Nothing, unless they can enforce it in a jurisdiction where Zenz has assets.

Attacks On Zenz In Chinese State Media.

The Chinese government has orchestrated an online smear campaign against Zenz, running stories in state-controlled media outlets like “Xinjiang think tank unveils Adrian Zenz as swindler under academic disguise.”

“Adrian Zenz is actually a far-right fundamentalist Christian and evangelical zealot,” reads a China Daily “analysis of American interference in Xinjiang affairs.” CGTN published an option piece on “Six lies in Adrian Zenz’s Xinjiang report of ‘genocide.'”

Chinese government officials have name-checked Zenz on Twitter, calling him a “liar.” Chinese reports frequently attribute their allegations against Zenz to “The Grayzone,” a website with ties to Russian state propaganda, whose Xinjiang denialism generates engagement from Chinese diplomatic Twitter accounts.

The news came shortly after the Biden regime promised to review the Trump-era policies of heaping pressure on the CCP for their systematic oppression of the predominantly Muslim population in Xinjiang.

BBC reporter says Princess Diana was source of royal family ‘smears’

The BBC reporter who landed the bombshell interview with Princess Diana that led to her divorce blamed the royal herself for the “smears” he was accused of spreading against the royal family to secure the chat.

Martin Bashir, who is currently the religious affairs reporter at the BBC, is under an internal probe for allegedly lying to Princess Diana to secure the 1995 interview in which she famously revealed that there were “three people” in her marriage with Prince Charles.

The probe was launched in November after the emergence of a series of notes taken by Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, days before the Sept. 1995 interview. Spencer said he noted down a series of allegations against the royal family at a meeting with Bashir and his sister. Among the “smears” was that the Queen was ill and on the verge of abdication, that Prince Charles was in love with his children’s nanny, and that Prince William wore a Swatch watch that contained a bugging device.

But in leaked documents seen by the Telegraph, Bashir says that the “smears” made at the meeting were mistakenly attributed to him, and were more consistent with remarks made by the Princess herself who confessed at a later meeting with the reporter that she regularly consulted mystics.

House Republicans are raising “serious” ethical concerns in the contentious effort to overturn the six-vote victory of GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District.

In the case, Democrat Rita Hart is asking the House Administration Committee to investigate 22 ballots she alleges were not properly tallied that would make her the real winner of the seat.

The House Administration Committee is currently weighing whether or not to launch a recount effort that could ultimately decide whether Miller-Meeks is removed from office, and Hart is sworn in as the new representative.

Republicans on the House Administration Committee, however, say Hart’s high-profile lawyer on the case, Mark Elias, has serious conflicts of interest because he and his firm Perkins Coie also represent half of the Democratic committee members who will be deciding the case.
