yes.. the only rule in the Constitution is that no one can serve more than 2 terms as President.. which would mean a former President like Obama could not be allowed to be VP now.. because you can't be in the position to start your 3rd term as POTUS. You can only be VP if you're in place to start your 1st or 2nd term as president if the current president dies or is removed.
