> Covered in .....

Some primitive cultures, like the Aztecs, believed that gold represented the blood of the gods, spilled here on earth.

So for one believer to cover another in gold foil, would be an anointment of their gods' blood.

And apparently, there are some modern day people who are pushing this kind of crazy.

Mowing a lawn with a mask on actually makes sense … these are, after all, no more than nuisance dust masks. I usually wear a better mask when doing woodworking.

>God made a covenant with Abraham and the Jews. Does God break His own deals? NO!

But God is not bound to continue a covenant when the people have abandoned him … as the Jews have. And thus, the Messianic covenant. Or did you not notice the "new covenant". Jesus fulfilled the Abrahamic covenant … God did not break his end of the deal. But he did not make the new covenant with the Jewish people as a whole.

If the death sentence was not in effect at the time of the crime, I don't see how it can be imposed (legally) retroactively.
