Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens announced Monday he would run for the U.S. Senate next year, nearly three years after he resigned in disgrace after he was accused of sexual misconduct and campaign finance violations.

Greitens’ entry into the race to fill the seat held by retiring U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, promises to generate discord within the state GOP, with Republicans who moved to oust Greitens in 2018 now forced to either back the ex-governor or line up behind an alternative.

Charles Lewis, former DC chief at AP and Hearst, has died

Charles Lewis, a former Washington bureau chief for The Associated Press and The Hearst Newspapers who tirelessly advocated for the release of AP journalist Terry Anderson from kidnappers in Lebanon, died Saturday. He was 80.

Lewis, of Arlington, Virginia, died at a hospital from complications from cancer. He had been fighting a series of illnesses the last several years, according to his wife, Vivian Chen.

According to the Daily Star, the sex doll company RealDoll recently unveiled its plan to release a line of dolls with a full range of humanoid features. The company does not intend to release its next generation of sex robots for another decade, however.

But by then, the company expects the dolls to be capable of talking and experiencing emotions. As of now, customers can buy dolls that can exclaim and speak a little, but Realdoll wants its next generation of sex dolls to be capable of more sophisticated responses.

“The AI will know what you’re doing to her body and will respond accordingly,” a RealDoll representative said in an interview with the Daily Star. “I predict this will be a major breakthrough in synthetic sexual companionship.”
