Have to say, back in the day in Europe, if you walked into a bar and talked up a chick, asking if she was a soccer player was about on the level of asking her if she was a boxer. Not cool.
Bad rep back then. and not many girls played soccer. IOW, there's really no competition for the US, who has all the kid's leagues for girls.
