The Air Force didn't use the same
expensive, hightech, cameras
in the field that Kubrick had at
his disposal when he did a
cleaned up version of the
moon landing.
( Gawd, those fucking ET's were
just always walking in front of

Let's compare with other filming
methods available at the time:
If it were a Tanker it would be fairly
easy to unload enough cargo to get
it unstuck from the canal bottom.
Container Ships need some
pretty serious hoisting systems to
not damage the cargo !
