Previously Classified Military UFO Encounter, Elmendorf Air Force Base, 5 May 1950

Background

Within the History of the 57th Fighter Interceptor Wing, Elmendorf Air Force Base, May – June 1950, is a UFO sighting which occurred of May 5, 1950. The witnesses were five military personnel, who all largely agreed on the description of the “phenomenon” they saw, and were from the 625th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron.

Although the report is not long, nor is it very detailed, it indicates that it was classified SECRET when it was chronicled in a letter dated 8 May 1950. The subject was “Report of Unusual Occurrence” and as of the writing of this page, it is unclear where this letter might be.

A quick cross reference to the officially declassified files of Project Sign, Project Grudge, and Project Blue Book, does not show this UFO encounter was within it. The Ladd AFB encounter, occurred 5 days later on the 10th, and appears to be unrelated.

Kristi Noem Running The Mike Pence Play To Help Leftists Control The Culture

It appears Gov. Kristi Noem is hoping to use the goodwill she earned through her COVID courage to hide her cowardly and deceptive choices about transgender politics.

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has rightly made a national name for herself courageously standing, almost alone, for science, sanity, and constitutional rights during the COVID panic. Yet it appears she’s hoping to use the goodwill she earned through this courage to hide her cowardly and deceptive choices about transgender politics.

Like the governors who should have learned from her example on lockdowns and have instead doubled down on their leadership failures, Noem could decide to come clean, change course, and pursue common-sense policies about sex. Or she could continue to eviscerate her credibility and earned goodwill by selling out her own constituents on behalf of sexually debauched corporatists, as Mike Pence did when governor of Indiana.

Rolling over to leftists in the culture war is certainly what voters have come to expect from politicians with an R after their names not named Donald Trump. But it also would be what Trump taught voters we don’t have to put up with anymore. Any standard-bearer of today’s right must fight the culture war, not hide from it. Unless reversed, her capitulation has disqualified Noem from national leadership.

Based on her tweets, a Monday press conference, and media appearances, Noem appears to be insisting people believe she’s acting to “protect girls’ sports” while actually abdicating her power to do so. She appears to be expecting that the people listening are so easily fooled that she can say what she knows they want to hear while doing what undermines what they want done. Let’s look at her arguments and the context to see this is clearly the case.

Expecting People to Believe Plainly False Assertions

As Margot Cleveland detailed in these pages Monday, the South Dakota legislature sent Noem a bill that would have forbidden males from playing in female sports from kindergarten through college in South Dakota, including mechanisms for verifying student-athletes’ biological sex and allowing for legal redress against anyone who broke this would-be law.

Noem sent the bill back to the legislature, demanding significant changes in a veto message. Her desired changes would allow men to compete in women’s sports at the college level — and potentially K-12, based on birth certificate rules — and eliminate penalties for violating it. Essentially, Noem’s changes would make the law toothless.

In attempting to defend her actions to Tucker Carlson, Noem made false and misleading claims. At least three times in the Carlson interview alone, Noem tried to blame the NCAA for her refusal to sign a bill to protect women’s sports. Here’s one:

Donald Trump Reportedly in Talks With FreeSpace, Other Tech Firms to Host New Social Media Network

When Donald Trump was US president, his tweets kept news outlets on constant edge. While he followed counsel not to shift operations to Parler after Twitter and Facebook locked his accounts in January, an adviser recently let slip that the real estate mogul wouldn’t be absent from social media forever.

Looking to found a new social media venue after being banned from nearly every mainstream platform, former US President Donald Trump has explored hosting it with several tech firms, including FreeSpace, according to a report by Axios.

Citing “sources familiar with the private discussions,” Axios reported Wednesday that Trump has “more meetings this week” with other tech companies, but was looking intently at FreeSpace, which his tech adviser, Dan Scavino, also reportedly likes.

FreeSpace is a newly formed social media company that bills itself as a networking platform for “free-thinkers, athletes and entrepreneurs.” Axios noted that its app was only launched on the Apple and Google stores last month ,and has just 20,000 downloads. It has many of the same features as most social media platforms, including interactable profiles and private groups and messaging functions.

Before Trump’s account was suspended by Twitter in January, he had some 88 million followers. The social media giant shut down his account in the aftermath of the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol by his followers, which was widely accused of having egged on, although a Senate trial acquitted him of that charge. His accounts were similarly disabled on Facebook and Instagram. The app Parler, which some of the organized participants in the riot reportedly used to coordinate their actions, was disabled in its entirety for a time before eventually being restored.

On Sunday, chief Trump adviser and former spokesperson Jason Miller told Fox News that Trump would likely return to social media with his own platform “in probably about two or three months.”

“There have been a lot of high-powered meetings he’s been having at Mar-a-Lago with some teams of folks who’ve been coming in. It’s not just one company that’s approached the president. There have been numerous companies,” Miller added. “But I think the president does know what direction that he wants to head here. This platform is going to be big, and everyone wants him. He’s going to bring millions and millions – tens of millions of people to this new platform.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a democratic socialist who faced no shortage of vitriol from Trump, told New York Times columnist Ezra Klein that he didn’t “feel comfortable” at the time of Trump’s social media ban with such a powerful figure being muzzled by “a handful of high-tech people.”

India Discovers First "Double-Mutant" COVID Strain As New Cases Surge

Time to crank the fear gauge up to '11'.

Following a series of reports warning about mutated COVID strains first identified in Brazil, the US and elsewhere spreading across Latin America, the US and Europe, scientists in India are one-upping them by identifying what they described as "a double-mutant" strain of the ubiquitous virus.

The 'double-mutant' was identified, along with 770 other strains, gleaned from samples collected across 18 Indian states. Of the 10,787 samples collected, 736 tested positive for the UK variant, 34 for the South African variant and one for the Brazilian variant. The report comes as COVID cases in India are climbing once again after the nation managed to bring numbers close to zero. The country has reported a total of 11.7MM cases, and 160.4K deaths.

As FBI hits paydirt with program against ‘white supremacism,’ media call to deradicalize CHRISTIANS, never mind Boulder murders

The FBI continues to warn Americans that herds of domestic extremists are plotting to overthrow the US. But the suspect in the latest gun attack had been known to the agency – which would rather bloviate about conspiracy theories.

Despite its superhuman efforts to tie the violence to domestic extremism – the agency’s favorite new bugaboo, supposedly lurking around every corner and under every bed – the Boulder shooting culprit bore not even a passing resemblance to the domestic extremist threat FBI director Christopher Wray has attempted to outline in a manner his agents might be able to understand.

In an intriguing twist, the alleged murder suspect Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa was actually already known to the FBI, having had two run-ins with the agency and racked up a tidy little criminal record to match.

The “metastasizing threat,” as Wray describes domestic terrorists (presumably the ones who don’t work for his agency), bears no resemblance to “white nationalism,” Christian extremism, or even the retro militia groups of the 1990s, all of which have recently been hyped as things right-thinking Americans should fear. But this is an embarrassing little blunder. If the agency wants to gin up some proper fear, they’ll have to sync their imaginations hard and get to work.

The FBI has nevertheless clung to its theory that the lion’s share of America’s “domestic extremists” are somehow caught up in QAnon and other home-grown ‘conspiracy theories,’ poorly slapped-together ‘hopiates of the masses’ that no longer even make sense with former president Donald Trump out of office. Declaring that half of Americans believe in at least one conspiracy, the FBI continues to insist these mostly-harmless beliefs inevitably led to violence.
