Seemed to work out pretty well for the Japs in 1945… I do remember that after that event there were multiple nuke/ H bomb tests that were apparently thwarted by UFO's. I think to put total faith in 'benevolent aliens' stopping us from nuking ourselves is a little too hopeful for me, although I want it to be the case.
