USC agrees to pay world record $842M damages to 700 victims of sex abuser gynecologist George Tyndall after already paying $215M in 2018 to thousands of women who say he molested them
The California college has agreed to pay $842million in settlements
Tyndall worked at the school for nearly three decades and is awaiting trial
He has been charged with 35 criminal counts for alleged crimes between 2009 and 2016
Many of his alleged victims' claims fell outside of a 10-year statute of limitations
USC has already paid some of Tyndall's accusers $215million in class action
Four victims of disgraced doctor George Tyndall spoke during a Thursday Zoom press conference with star lawyer Gloria Allred
Allred's firm represented 72 of the 702 women who have come forward with allegations of harassment against Tyndall
The lawyer shared during the press conference that her clients would receive on average $1.2million from the payout
The University of Southern California has agreed to pay an $842 million settlement to more than 700 women who have accused the college's longtime campus gynecologist of sexual abuse, the victims' lawyers announced Thursday.
The settlement is believed to be a record amount for such a lawsuit.
When combined with an earlier $215million settlement of a separate class-action suit that has already been paid to some of his women patients, USC has agreed to pay out more than $1 billion for claims against Dr. George Tyndall, who worked at the school for nearly three decades.
Tyndall, 74, faces 35 criminal counts of alleged sexual misconduct between 2009 and 2016 at the university's student health center. He has pleaded not guilty and is free on bond.
During a Zoom press conference on Thursday held by star lawyer Gloria Allred, four of his victims recounted their harrowing experiences in Tyndall's examination room.
One of his victims - named as Jane Doe - recounted how the disgraced doctor probed her private parts with his unwashed and ungloved hands during a pelvic exam in the 90s.
Allred's firm - Allred, Maroko & Goldberg - and her co-counsel, Carpenter Zuckerman & Rowley, represent 72 of the 702 women who have come forward with allegations of harassment against Tyndall. Allred shared during the press conference that her clients would receive on average $1.2million from the payout.

Israel Election Results | 'The Forgery’s Begun': Israel's Stop the Steal Campaign Is On
After sowing doubt over the integrity of Israels election, Netanyahus proxies are now cashing in: The time between the exit polls and the final results are the most dangerous
“The forgery has begun,” tweeted Yair Netanyahu, the son of Israel’s prime minister. He swiftly deleted the tweet within a minute of putting it up, and reposted it within a minute with an alternative, less provocative wording: “The tricks have begun.”
He’s not alone. In the 72 hours since polls closed in Israel’s fourth election in two years, right-wing groups affiliated with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ruling party have been abuzz with claims of voter fraud. On social media platforms like Facebook, Telegram, WhatsApp and Twitter, accounts – some real, some fake – have been awash with posts claiming irregularities and spreading disinformation about the vote.

Does Weed-killing Chemical “Paraquat” Cause Parkinson’s Disease? Multiple Law Suits in the U.S.
Multiple lawsuits are pending in the United States alleging the weedkilling chemical paraquat causes Parkinson’s disease, and the first case to go to trial over the allegations against Syngenta over paraquat and Parkinson’s was originally scheduled for April 12 but was rescheduled for May 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court in Illinois. The trial is expected to be delayed due to precautions related to the Covid-19 virus.
That Illinois case – Hoffman V. Syngenta – is one of several pending against Syngenta alleging the company’s paraquat products cause Parkinson’s Disease. The Hoffman case also names Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. and Growmark Inc. as defendants. Chevron distributed and sold Gramoxone paraquat product in the United States in an agreement with a Syngenta predecessor called Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), which introduced paraquat-based Gramoxone in 1962. Under a license agreement, Chevron had the right to to manufacture, use, and sell paraquat formulations in the U.S.
Lawyers around the United States are advertising for plaintiffs, seeking to draw in thousands of people who’ve been exposed to paraquat and now suffer from Parkinson’s.
One of the most recently filed cases was brought in federal court. That lawsuit is Durbin V. Syngenta.
Several scientific studies have linked paraquat to Parkinson’s, including a large study of U.S. farmers jointly overseen by multiple U.S. government agencies. Farmers use paraquat in the production of many crops, including corn, soy and cotton.
Parkinson’s is an incurable progressive nervous system disorder that limits a person’s ability to control movement, causing tremors, loss of balance and eventually often leaving victims bedridden and/or bound to a wheelchair. The disease is not necessarily fatal but typically becomes severely debilitating.
Dutch neurologist Bastiaan Bloem, who recently authored a book about Parkinson’s, blames widespread exposure to herbicides such as paraquat, along with other toxic chemicals used in agriculture and manufacturing, for the spread of the disease.
Acutely Toxic
Along with fears about links between paraquat and Parkinson’s, paraquat is also known to be an extremely acutely toxic chemical that can quickly kill people who ingest very small amounts. In Europe, the sale of paraquat has been banned since 2007, but in the United States the pesticide is sold as a “Restricted Use Pesticide” due to “acute toxicity.”
As part of discovery in the Parkinson’s litigation, lawyers have obtained internal records from Syngenta and its predecessor corporate entities dating back to the 1960s. Many of these documents are sealed, but some have started to come to light.
Those unsealed discovery documents, which include copies of letters, minutes of meetings, study summaries, and emails, are being made available on this page.

Arkansas Becomes Third State to Protect Women's Sports Amid Transgender Onslaught
On Thursday, Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-Ark.) signed S.B. 354, the “Fairness in Women’s Sports Act,” making Arkansas the third state to enshrine protections for fairness in women’s sports into law. Idaho became the first state to do so last year, although a federal judge suspended the law last August. Gov. Tate Reeves (R-Miss.) signed a similar law earlier this month. Gov. Kristi Noem (R-S.D.) said she would sign a similar law, but she issued a “style and form” veto last Friday, instead.
“This law simply says that female athletes should not have to compete in a sport against a student of the male sex when the sport is designed for women’s competition,” Hutchinson said in a statement announcing he had signed S.B. 354. “As I have stated previously, I agree with the intention of this law. This will help promote and maintain fairness in women’s sporting events.”
S.B. 354 cites various scientific sources on the inherent biological advantages males enjoy over females in most kinds of sport. As Neel Burton explained in Psychology Today, males generally have “denser, stronger bones, tendons, and ligaments,” and “larger hearts, greater lung volume per body mass, a higher red blood cell count, and higher hemoglobin.” Dorian Lambelet Coleman also wrote that males “have higher natural levels of testosterone, which affects traits such as hemoglobin levels, body fat content, the storage and use of carbohydrates, and the development of type 2 muscle fibers, all of which result in men being able to generate higher speed and power during physical activity.”
Even when gender-confused males take so-called “puberty blockers” or cross-sex hormones, those pharmacological interventions do not erase the natural benefits that testosterone provides to male athletes, the law argues. It cites a study published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism that concluded that “even after 12 months of hormonal therapy,” a man who identifies as a woman and is taking cross-sex hormones “had an absolute advantage” over female athletes and “will still likely have performance benefits” over women.

After Certifying Sham 2020 Election Results – Georgia Gov. Kemp Signs New Election Legislation
What a total disgrace Georgia Republican leadership was in the 2020 election. They certified a fraudulent result for President then allowed the same process to steal not one, but two US Senate seats. Now they make changes!
Tonight the corrupt governor of Georgia, Republican Brian Kemp, signed a bill pushed through Georgia’s House and Senate after the totally corrupt results in the 2020 election for President from Georgia were certified. The AP reports:
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Thursday signed into law a sweeping Republican-sponsored overhaul of state elections that includes new restrictions on voting by mail and gives the legislature greater control over how elections are run..
…Among highlights, the law requires a photo ID in order to vote absentee by mail, after more than 1.3 million Georgia voters used that option during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also cuts the time people have to request an absentee ballot and limits where ballot drop boxes can be placed and when they can be accessed.
Republican Rep. Jan Jones said the provisions cutting the time people have to request an absentee ballot are meant to “increase the likelihood of a voter’s vote being cast successfully,” after concerns were raised in 2020 about mail ballots not being received by counties in time to be counted.
One of the biggest changes gives the GOP-controlled legislature more control over election administration, a change that has raised concerns among voting rights groups that it could lead to greater partisan influence.
The law replaces the elected secretary of state as the chair of the state election board with a new appointee of the legislature after Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger rebuffed Trump’s attempts to overturn Georgia’s election results. It also allows the board to remove and replace county election officials deemed to be underperforming.
That provision is widely seen as something that could be used to target Fulton County, a Democratic stronghold covering most of Atlanta, which came under fire after long lines plagued primary elections over the summer.
Kemp’s Georgia certified the 2020 Presidential election results in Georgia despite numerous fraudulent activities recorded during the election, impacting the results.
Watching this dark red state get torn apart by Democrats and crooked Republicans was grotesque.
Georgians should be outraged.

One of ICE’s 10 most wanted arrested in Massachusetts
ERO Boston arrests previously removed convicted aggravated felon citizen of Haiti
BOSTON- Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Boston arrested one of ICE’s Top 10 Most Wanted in the United States, a previously removed immigration fugitive citizen of Haiti who had been convicted on multiple counts of narcotics possession and trafficking. The fugitive was charged with illegal reentry in federal court in Boston, it was announced by ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons and Acting United States Attorney for the Massachusetts Nathaniel R. Mendell on March 24.
Friendly Grandoit, 42, was arrested on March 19, 2021, and charged with one count of illegal re-entry into the United States after deportation. Grandoit was detained following an initial appearance before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler.
“The men and women of ERO Boston can be very proud of this arrest, which has removed an aggravated felon and known narcotics trafficker from our streets,” said Lyons. “ERO remains committed to apprehending dangerous criminals who continue to pose a real threat to public safety. This is another example of the dedicated work of our enforcement officers who never give up on their mission of protecting our communities throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and all of New England.”
According to charging documents, in 2005 Grandoit was encountered in pre-trial detention by immigration officials while pending trial on drug distribution charges in Middlesex County. Grandoit was convicted in Sept. 2006 of trafficking in a controlled substance and sentenced to three years in prison. Upon completion of his sentence, Grandoit was placed into removal proceedings and deported to Haiti in July 2008.
Sometime after his removal, Grandoit illegally reentered the United States. In Sept. 2019, Grandoit was arrested and charged in Woburn District Court with distribution of cocaine, identity fraud and operating with a suspended license and was detained. In April 2020, Grandoit posted bail and was released from custody. ICE, who had filed a detainer with the jail, was not notified. On March 19, 2021, Grandoit was arrested in this case.
The charge of illegal reentry provides for a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Kenneth G. Shine of the Office of United States Attorney for Massachusetts’ Major Crimes Unit is prosecuting the case. The details contained in the charging documents are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
